Being a trini this roti was ok from a scale from 1-5 I would give it a 3 because I had a chicken roti and I rather the chicken cut up into pieces not in whole pieces and it appears that the roti skin was starting to soak up the curry very quickly because it was thin.
Authentic Trinidad/Caribbean dishes like Roti, Curry, Doubles, Pholourrie. I get the Goat Curry with Paratha Roti & Doubles. Service can be slow but the staff is so friendly, I can't be annoyed with them. Food is delicious which is why I keep coming back.
Tried De one Roti Shop and I’ve got thoughts. Curry goat roti? Solid. No complaints there. Doubles? Just okay — the channa and sauce were real thick, like they missed the part where it’s supposed to be saucy and flavorful.
Now the bake and shark? That hurt my heart. Trinis know it’s supposed to be breaded and fried shark, whole — not minced shark meat like a buljol. Are y’all stretching the shark?! It felt more like a fusion experiment than a taste...
