Maybe it was an off day, but my first visit (Brannen St. location) and it wasnât good. Chicken was tough as leather, zero spice. Wouldnât go out of my way to eat there again. Much better Mexican food in Brooklet.

The food at Azul Tex Mex Express is solid â definitely better than most Mexican restaurants in the area. The flavors are fresh, portions are generous, and it hits the basics well.
That said, itâs a little basic. The dishes are good, but nothing stands out as truly memorable or exciting. Itâs reliable for a tasty meal, but itâs missing that âspecial somethingâ that would take it to the next level.
A good choice if you want consistent, tasty Mexican food, just donât expect anything groundbreaking.

Unfortunately, the quesabirria was under cooked. I gave the kitchen a second chance to re-make it. They forgot about it and I ended up waiting 25+ minutes for my food. The re-make was also undercooked.
The cocktails and salsa were great. This place has tremendous potential.
