“We had reservations for dinner but had to wait for 15 minutes or so to be seated, but the restaurant was completely empty. Then the hostess tried to seat us in the bar area. After finally being seated in the dining room everything from there on was nice.. The service and the food was excellent. We loved it and will definitely give it another try.”

“Coming from Houston,TX, we have been trying every Mexican food restaurant in Statesboro and so far, this is the best and most similar to what we had in Texas. The food is fresh and large portions. They keep the menu pretty simple which really is how Tex-mex typically is set up. We got the steak taco meal. Nice thin flour tortillas. Rice was fluffy and charro (pinto) beans were fresh and not mushy. They still had a bite to them. My son had a shrimp quesadilla, very plain, cheese and shrimp. The shrimp were the perfect size and fresh. I had the traditional elotes in a cup with tajin, mayo and cheese. It was a large portion that could easily be a shared side. My husband got the Texas nachos. They were very much what we are accustomed to. Quality food, large portions, worth the money. What I would love to see in the future… liquor license and sell fresh margaritas (no premix junk), ceviche, and fajitas. Plus a brick and mortar restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining.”

“This was one of my favorite pizza places in Statesboro. Unfortunately sometimes its just fantastic and sometimes its not.. 50/50. Had a large family gathering on 6/3/24 order 7:27pm Order # 43 = $93.68 and it was like eating a VERY THIN slice of "cold" cardboard. even with the double cheese and toppings. This order was very disappointing. Hopefully the management will tighten up on the quality again. I will try again soon. Jim”

“This place is a hidden gem. Heading back from a Cape Canaveral cruise, we stopped here for lunch about 1.5 hrs from home - Augusta. Glad we waited until Statesboro. We ordered the 1/2 chicken combo plate & 1/4 lb brisket combo plate. Combo came with 2 sides & 1 drink. Plus 20% tip at the counter, it came to $30 & change. Large portions, we couldn’t finish it. The chicken & brisket were very tasty & smoky with still some chew. Sides were pretty good. The Brunswick stew was thick made will pulled pork. 3 homemade BBQ sauces - sweet, spicy, gold - mustard. We liked the gold sauce. Counter attendant was very friendly & responsive. They also have smoked chicken wings for $1 each, but were sold out. Definitely 2 thumbs up!”

“This is one of our favorite places to eat. But we do not like it so much tonight. We walked in at 9:26 they say they close at 10:00. However the hostess greeted us by saying we are no longer serving dine in but you can get your food to go. We turned around and walked out and went down the road where we were able to sit down and enjoy our food. Very disappointing. If you are no longer serving dine in guest 30 minutes before you close you need to post that so people don't waste their time coming to your establishment .”

Biggest issue is the inability to handle the number of customers they get. Service takes long and there just isn’t enough seating. Good problems to have, but they need to find solutions or customers are going to get frustrated and not return”

“After seeing some bad reviews here I was scared to try the place, but after seeing what a friend of mine said on her fb page and then talking with her in person I gave it a shot. I was in the mood for sushi and got the orchid platter #2. Let it be said that I went when it wasn't busy, but I was satisfied with every aspect of eating there. It's a nice place atmosphere wise, my food was great, and my waiter Joshua was very attentive and seemed very conscientious about doing a good job. He even offered me a to go cup of tea which was nice. I suggest you give it a try and formulate your own opinion about the place.”
