“My husband and I just happened across this little restaurant and were hungry. It's home cooking. We both had eggs , cheesy grits , bacon, toast and a diet coke to drink. It was early afternoon. It was delish. Will definitely go back. The only draw back was eating with plastic silverware. There were a couple people outside that were real friendly also that told us ahead of time that the food was real good. Can't wait to try something elseThank you. Lisa RileyParking: Not real sure where your supposed to park but there is a parking lot across the street , that's where we parked“

“Went inside to eat, the place was so clean! The manager named C.J. Helped my grandmother sit down. He called my name out for our food. Now my grandmother keeps talking about C.J. Is such a nice pleasant young man, chris why cant you be more like him? Im TRYING grandma! I AM TRYING! Anyway the food was fantastic. The staff were very nice. BUT, if you ask grandma she will say that C.J. Reminds her of a young Carey Grant, and then she starts mumbling and finally comes back in with the words "Ric Flair may be your grandfather." At this point im at a loss for words, and tell grandma that" I just want to go to penny's so I can get those khaki slacks you promised me." You know what they say: "If you lack the slacks, you must go to the back." A+ +++ will eat there again!!Parking: There was a whole space that I could park my grandmothers cadillac in.“

“Called another local place for cheesecake and they couldn’t do an order for a chocolate cheesecake. I was unsure who else in the Statesboro area made cheesecakes. On a whim, I called Statesboro Sweets. My order was fulfilled in four days! It was a delicious chocolate cheesecake for my birthday! Definitely recommend. A 10 out of 10 experience, and delicious chocolate cheesecake. ?“

“I enjoy D's (for Dana) Friendly Diner because it's just that...friendly. OK, It's not haute cuisine, it's not white table cloth... The place is always jumping. I have only eaten breakfast but this is the place the locals eat. One sees the mayor, city councilmen and the like along with good ole down to earth people & families. The only food downside is the coffee is sometimes served in a rather small mug and it's not strong...kinda weak and if you get a small mug, the waitress has to hustle back and forth to refill that "wake up juice". But...the staff is friendly (like the name says!)“

Lakeside Dining Commons Cafe • $
494 Cedarwood Dr, Statesboro

“This is the go to place to eat on Georgia Southern's campus. It's very clean and the food is way better than Landrum Dining Commons. They're not open on the weekends though, so you'd have to go to Landrum instead. They keep tons of items ranging from pizza to burritos and burgers and salads along with desserts, sandwiches, and even baked potatoes. They are also very accommodating to allergies if you ask.“

“Charming little coffee shop in the heart of Statesboro. We're visiting from Charlotte, NC, which is a bit of a foodie town. We had lunch at The Daily Grind and it was absolutely delicious! We had the strawberry salad and the turkey and apricot sandwich. We highly recommend both, but especially the sandwich.“
