We were driving on the interstate and my wife wanted BBQ, so we decided to try it. I'm glad that we did, it was really good.When we pulled up I couldn't tell if they were open at first. Statesboro used to have a good history of BBQ. It fell off decades ago after the original Vandy's was first sold. Then the area went a long time without having a good and consistent place for BBQ. Then along came Hopeulikit BBQ. The meat is the focus, as it should be, and the men and women at the store put their hearts and passion into what you are eating. It shows.
