“Amazing food and service. This was one of the best Buffalo Chicken sandwiches I have ever had. The kids loved the burgers as well. The fries and home fries were also delicious. It's definitely a must go to if you're in Statesboro.“
“I got the meatloaf, the rutabagas, and the mustard greens. There are not a lot of places that I can get laced cornbread so historically I always go for that. However, this time I looked at the rolls and thought, I bet that is good. It was my favorite part. I was trying to be a little healthier which is why I skipped on the mashed potatoes and chicken fried steak. Those are probably my preference and make up my previous 5 star review. The ambiance in Fordhams is 5 stars mainly BECAUSE the service is so darn great. The ladies here take care of you like nothing else. I feel right at home and taken care of. Our waitress was amazing and even after she took care of us, another waitress stepped over to clean our table and ask if I wanted a sweet tea for the road! Thanks Fordham's!“
“Food is served family style (all menu items brought to the table). Seconds are free, thirds incur an additional charge. Drinks are included in the price. The menu varies by the day, the picture is of the particular day we visited (a Sunday). As for the taste, all of it was very good. I was transported back in time to a family reunion or the old church with dinner on the grounds. We will definitely be coming back.“
“Christina the very welcoming and sweet manager saved this disastrous visit for us! We had terrible service in which we asked for extra butter and some sour cream which was never brought to us until I went and asked the hostess. Also our waiter never even checked on our table after bringing our drinks. Hubby’s steak was way over cooked but Christina took care of it and checked on us twice to see if we needed anything else. I would never have gone back if she hadn’t treated us so well.“
“The service was great. Our server was very efficient and knowledgeable.I had the filet with mashed potatoes and grilled broccolini. It was one of the better filets i have had. It was cooked to a perfect medium. My daughter had the caesar salad which was phenomenal. She also ordered the soup of the day. it was corn potato chowder. she doesnt eat meat so she asked how it was prepared beforehand. She was told it was made with chicken broth which was fine. however, it had chunks of sausage in it. She picked around it but the kitchen may want to be more detail oriented when it comes to knowledge of preparation in case of food allergies. They had oysters on special so i ordered a half dozen at 3.50 per oyster. For the price i wasnt impressived at the size or taste. they were incredibly small. As someone who works in the industry i know restaurants cant control the quality or size of the food they recieve and therefore have to sell it or lose money so that takes nothing away from this restaurant as i know that was completely out of their realm of control. The mignonette that was served with the oysters was very good tho.All in all, this is a five star restaurant. From the libations, the service and the food i would say this is definitely one of the better restaurants in Statesboro and we will definitely be returning.I have heard nothing but the absolute best things about their brunch and look forward to trying it soon.Kudos to the Chef and Staff of Sugar Magnolia.“
