“This was my first time coming to this restaurant I’m not really a big fan of Mexican food but it was good. The service was absolutely amazing! I was greeted as soon as I was seated by our waitress and she was very helpful with my selection. Cali’s attitude was upbeat, warm and welcoming…thank you for making my first experience a good one.“

“If I could give them higher than a 5, I would. I'm not a big shrimp fan but had their blackened shrimp and fried oysters, and they were amazing. Landon, wh waited on us, was great. The menu listed their shrimp as fresh and locally caught. Just joking, I asked how that was possible when they were nowhere near the ocean. He wasn't sure how to answer, but he came back later and said that they were caught off of Savanah and delivered daily. Also, his name was Landon, I asked if there was any kin to Michael Landon. He was clueless as to whom I was talking about. We kept going back and forth until we found a TV show he knew. Between the service and the food, you would be hard pressed to find a better seafood restaurant this far inland.“

“We loved Sugar Magnolia Bistro & Bar so much, we visited twice during out trip! Ny husband and I were in town for a series of events at GSU. We had a little bit of time to kill between events and decided to get a bite and a drink at Sugar Magnolia. I ordered the shrimp caesar salad and an espresso martini. The salad was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. The espresso martini was decent and creamy. They also gave us complimentary bread that was divine. My husband couldn't stop talking about Sugar Magnolia, so we went back after one of our events. Service was fast and friendly. The space is clean and cozy. The prices are reasonable. The food and drinks are solid. Great spot to check out!“

“My mom and I were doing errands a few weeks ago and decided to stop at El Sombrero for lunch. She opted for the chicken soup and said it was the best chicken soup she’s ever had at a Mexican restaurant. It’s a dish she had ordered at least once at every Mexican restaurant we’ve been to. Today she was craving the soup so we made the trip to Statesboro just so she could have it. She said it hit the spot and once again it was delicious!“
