“With all the great reviews, we decided to celebrate our birthdays here. We made reservations, so that was not the problem. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was good. When we were finished with our dinner, I went to the restroom planning on ordering dessert when I returned. However, upon my return, my family was getting ready to leave. It seems Elaine had told them that she needed our table for the next guests! We hadn't even been given our check! The table beside us was full with the same people who were seated there when we arrived! The waitress came back and asked us if we wanted dessert! I told her "Apparently Not", but we do need our check! NEVER have I been told "times up!" We will NOT be back!“
“Attached to Grit & Grain, this cocktail lounge is the perfect spot for a girls night, date night or an after work drink. The atmosphere is perfect for a small group or large gathering. After two rounds of tapas appetizers, we enjoyed the truffle Mac & Cheese and Pork Belly the most. With a rotating drink menu, I know we will be back for more cocktail creations. Highly recommend checking out this newer hotspot in RH if you get the chance!“
“Stopped in Richmond Hill for the night on a road trip. All of the produce stands we'd stopped at since leaving Tampa had me craving fried green tomatoes and my travel companion was in the mood for a steak. Found this place with a quick Google search and, with so many great reviews, it having what we were looking for, and it being practically next door to our hotel, we decided on The Local on 17. I was all smiles when we walked in the busy restaurant. No wait, pleasant hostesses, lovely ambiance, and a talented pianist greeted us! Our server, Forrest was great. It seemed we were one of many tables he was tending to but he was perfectly attentive, without being overbearing. He was helpful in accommodating a special request, making excellent suggestions, and even telling us a bit about Richmond Hill and things we may enjoy seeing while in town. A+ FOR SERVICE! THANK YOU, FORREST!Now the food. I'm a professional chef and a huge foodie. My fellow foodie friend ordered the petit filet mignon with two sides. This is one of the best steaks I've ever had in a restaurant and it wasn't even priced very high. Perfect med rare, perfect seasoning, melted in the mouth, literally reminding us of a5 Wagyu. Obviously it wasn't, but that insanely rich, melty mouthfeel was incredible. The whipped potatoes were smooth and perfectly seasoned. The green beans were just a tad soft for my taste but still good. Now, to the fried green tomatoes. I've made/ordered/eaten more than the average person, I'd assume. I don't know that I've ever had any that I don't like BUT I think these may have been the best I've ever had. Perfectly paired with the aioli, corn salsa, and feta. With every bite, I had something to say about them. I opted to add the blackened shrimp which were, not to be redundant , perfectly cooked and seasoned and Forrest hooked me up with a big ol' scallop, which was not offered a la carte. We opted out of desserts Forrest offered because we were more than satisfied with the plates that we devoured. Both of us fed and sated for $55! ( Before tip) What a deal for a steakhouse that we will be talking about for forever. This will be a definite stop every time we make this trip. So pleasant surprised. Thanks y'all. From Richmond, VA“
“Walking in and the Dj playing 90s hip hop instantly made me dance happy. The dj did have a good mix of all genres.Took a while to get the bartender's attention, but it was pretty busy. Marg was on point. When ordering my food, the other bartender was super polite. Hot wings and fries came out hot and fresh. There are 2 pool tables and a few slot games. Smoking area right outside the door. So no smokey hair. Yay. When busy, expect to stand a bit.Pretty cool chill spot. I will be returning“
“Awesome place. Would have been all 5's but when the band came in, it was obnoxiously loud. Could not hear myself think, couldn't hear the bartender or anyone else. Before the band got there it was the best place ever! I 'll go back but not when the band is there.“
“Stopped by there today for lunch, I had the habanero Wings with Onion Rings and the wife had the Cheesesteak with fries. Both were delicious and we'd definitely go there again. Waitress Brenda was friendly and fast service. Only knock is they are a Pepsi place and not Coke.“
