“The first thing we wanted to do when we got in town was eat dinner on the water with a view of the beach. It was just bar food but it was good. I recommend the banana colada. We did have to pay to park across the road since we were not staying at the hotel. There's only one other place in town to eat dinner on the beach and it is also a bar.“

“Hands down some of the best scenery on the Island. The bar overlooks all of pope avenue and you can see the beach! However most importantly the food was so good. Its not the largest menu however what they do serve they do extremely well! I got a flatbread margarita pizza and a Jerk chicken taco and let me tell you that taco was one of the most delicious things I ever ate! The server Kirsten was also extremely friendly and made the place feel very welcoming! Food, service and atmosphere 10 out of 10!“

“Horrible manager on 10/13/2022! He ruined my daughter's 5 year anniversary dinner. They were in from out of state to attend a golf tournament and celebrate their anniversary. When it came time for payment the manager came over and told them they don't accept Discover and was really rude and belittled them for not having any other type of payment with them. There are no signs posted that they don't take Discover. The manager said what do you want us to do, sit everyone down beforehand and tell them we don't take Discover. A sign should have been posted. Every other establishment they visited in Hilton Head took Discover. The manager could have been nice about it while they secured another form of payment instead of belittling them in front of everyone. Their waiter was amazing though. Seems they need to promote the waiter as the new manager.“

“9/17/25 was our 2nd trip to Benny's and it did not disappoint either time. Our first trip was last fall when you had just opened & the rooftop was not completed yet. Me, my sister & my niece were delighted with our choices...grouper, seafood cannelloni , Brazilian fish stew...WOW!! But what we were most impressed with was our waiter, Ladrae' Foster, a young 20 year old man. He was lots of fun and very knowledgeable about the menu. We asked LOTS of questions about entrees and he always had the most detailed answer. Excellent service, too! We'll definitely be back!“

“I’m a die hard Cleveland Browns fan, this place is awesome!! My family took me here as a surprise. Amazing food, awesome Browns pictures, flags, signatures from legendary Browns players. The staff were extremely nice and very welcoming. They have hats, shirts etc. that you can buy. Danny and his staff were so cool to show me everything they had Browns. I will remember this place forever!!! Go Browns!!!“

“The food was good, but we had a really weird experience at the beginning. My mother and I walked in and requested a table for two. The hostess says “do you have a reservation, we don’t take walk ins.” We didn’t have a reservation so we left. But I was so hungry after just getting off a plane that I didn’t want to search for a new place. I looked up Jane online and made a res for 1:00 (it was 12:49… and there were tons of available time slots). So we walked back in and told the same hostess we had a reservation. Then while we sat and waited 10 min for a table we listened to her tell other walk ins it was a 10 min wait. The whole thing was so strange. I think my salad was good, but definitely annoyed by the initial service (waitress super sweet though).“

Best potato salad I’ve had, baked beans were amazing. Sauces were super tasty as well. I’ve been spoiled by eating tons of Texas bbq, but Forrest Fire BBQ can hold its own anywhere.“

“I visited The Porch Southern Kitchen & Bar at the The Beach House hotel with my family twice over Memorial Day weekend, and both experiences were solid. The menu offers a good range of food options, enough variety to keep things interesting without feeling overwhelming. They also have a decent beer selection along with a full bar, which is always a plus.

Service was consistently very friendly on both visits.

For dinner on the first night, I had the Bronzed Mahi Mahi, which was flavorful and nicely prepared. When I returned for lunch on the third day, I tried the Porch Wrap with ham, and it made for a satisfying midday meal with a refreshing side of fresh fruit.

Even though the restaurant is open‑air, it was surprisingly comfortable thanks to the large ceiling fans. Even on a hot day, the airflow kept things pleasant without feeling stuffy.

Overall, The Porch delivers good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere--definitely worth a stop if you're staying nearby or just passing through.“

“Our server Andy was excellent as was the Hostess at the Door ! The Food was delicious- off the Healthy Menu we had Orzo & Salmon- had a delicious seasoning on it- loved it! The Small chicken sourced locally with the Carolina sucatash was honestly some of the best I have ever had-beautiful fresh seasoning with a lovely soufle like corn muffin!!! Excellent wine selections and good flor of service- whatever was wrong in previous comments was corrected! The Staff functioned as a Team including the Hostess-well done!“
