I travel all over the US for work and eat BBQ everywhere I go. I usually go for brisket over pulled pork, but went with the pork for dinner today. Absolutely fantastic pulled pork, it was delicious. Best potato salad I’ve had, baked beans were amazing. Sauces were super tasty as well. I’ve been spoiled by eating tons of Texas bbq, but Forrest Fire BBQ can hold its own anywhere.
We had the Brisket and it was to die for! Highly recommend! Staff was helpful and seemed happy to be there. My kids LOVED the old school arcade games, they won’t stop talking about them. Highly recommend this establishment!
Great BBQ near the beach. We thought it was the best BBQ in Hilton Head and the cracklin’ Mac and Cheese is delicious. We both had the brisket which was well spiced, juicy and hand carved. It had a great smoke ring also. We plan on coming back next time we are in or near HHI.

SlowCountry BBQ is a restaurant where orders are taken at the counter. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The trash can nachos, duplex burger, and clucked up chicken were given an 8/10. Some reviews noted the price was a bit steep, and one found the trash nachos like Chuckee Cheese, with a son barely touching a burger due to soggy onions and a husband’s burger rated a 2 with oily and salty fries. The only good thing was the drinks. However, the Family and Friends Meal to go fed 7 people with leftovers for about $10 a person and was delicious, with high recommendations for the pulled pork and burnt end beans. The smoked chicken with coleslaw and mac & cheese was good, and one son said a burger is better than five guys. A weird nacho tower thingy came with free entertainment. The place has a nice vibe and great food, and many plan to return.
