“An Unforgettable Anniversary at Michael Anthony's A True Food Lover’s Paradise For our wedding anniversary, we wanted something special, and Michael Anthony’s delivered on EVERY level. As Hilton Head’s premier Italian fine dining destination, they excel not only in impeccable service and warm hospitality but also in creating a culinary experience that any true Epicure would appreciate. From the moment we sat down, our server, Eleanor, made the evening even more remarkable. Her knowledge of each dish was extraordinary, and her attentiveness to every detail ensured that we were taken care of without ever feeling rushed. It’s rare to encounter such dedication to making sure every aspect of the meal is perfect, and Eleanor truly enhanced our experience. The evening began with a bottle of 2021 Tenuta Di Arceno Chianti Classico—a stunning wine with aromas of cherries, and strawberries. Its elegant balance made it the perfect companion to the meal, enhancing each bite without overshadowing the vibrant flavors on our plates. My A5 Wagyu ribeye was simply divine, cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that only Wagyu can deliver. It was a symphony of rich flavors, each bite more indulgent than the last. My wife’s Ravioli di Vitello al Tartufo Nero was outstanding. A harmonious blend of House made veal ravioli topped & black truffle sauce. Both dishes epitomized the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. One of the true standouts of the night was the Raviolo al’Uovo con confit d’Anatra. This dish was a revelation! An unexpected, yet beautifully balanced combination of flavors that demonstrated both creativity and precision. The delicate pasta, rich duck confit, and perfectly runny egg yolk created a dish that was not only visually stunning but an absolute pleasure to eat. Another unexpected delight was the Insalata d’Anatra con Albicocca e Burrata. A light and refreshing salad featuring succulent duck, sweet apricots, and creamy burrata. It was the perfect prelude to the main courses, showcasing a masterful understanding of balance and texture. Venturing into new territory, I tried the Polpo alla Griglia, my first experience with octopus. Grilled to perfection, the octopus had a surprisingly tender, almost steak-like quality that was enhanced by a smoky char. It was a revelation for me both unfamiliar and yet incredibly satisfying. For starters, we couldn’t resist the Peach and Plum Salad with Scallops. The sweet, ripe fruit paired beautifully with the perfectly seared scallops, highlighting the restaurant's commitment to sourcing only the finest seasonal ingredients. Every bite was vibrant, fresh, and utterly delicious. As if that weren’t enough, the desert menu demanded our attention. The Tiramisu was nothing short of perfection!espresso and rum-soaked ladyfingers layered with a light mascarpone mousse and topped with a dusting of cocoa and caramel drizzle. Hands down, the best Tiramisu I’ve ever tasted. The Sformata di Cioccolata con Gelato Vanilla Rich, molten-centered chocolate cake served with creamy vanilla gelato was a chocolate lover’s dream. The baked peach stuffed with oats and pine nuts was another winner. It was refreshing, light, and oh so exciting to my tongue. It had a similar presentation to a small coffee cake, but packed a flavorful punch of peach cobbler. Finally, the Affogato, a dessert that was new to me but instantly became a favorite. Vanilla gelato drenched in rich espresso, chocolate sauce, Kahlua, and whipped cream. It was an indulgent, yet perfectly balanced way to finish the evening. Michael Anthony’s isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. From the perfectly executed dishes to Eleanor’s exceptional service, every detail is designed to make you feel pampered. For anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine with a creative twist, Michael Anthony’s is simply a must. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience, Michael Anthony’s will not disappoint! We are planning our next trip already”
“First time visiting this place, after living in the vicinity for a couple of years. We celebrated our son’s 16th at Links and were pleasantly surprised. Tracy was our server, and was knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. The food was superb! We will be back as there are several entrees we would like to try out next.”
“I highly recommend Cafe Al Dente at Hilton Head. The food and service is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Not only were our entrees amazing, but the desserts were outstanding. My boyfriend and I tried the GF Brownie and Seasonal Bread Pudding. The Seasonal Bread Pudding is the BEST bread pudding we have ever eaten. Kudos to Sous Chef, Nick Clements, for THE AMAZING FOOD and EXPERIENCE. Even the presentation was outstanding. We will definitely be back to Cafe Al Dente real soon.”
“Horrible manager on 10/13/2022! He ruined my daughter's 5 year anniversary dinner. They were in from out of state to attend a golf tournament and celebrate their anniversary. When it came time for payment the manager came over and told them they don't accept Discover and was really rude and belittled them for not having any other type of payment with them. There are no signs posted that they don't take Discover. The manager said what do you want us to do, sit everyone down beforehand and tell them we don't take Discover. A sign should have been posted. Every other establishment they visited in Hilton Head took Discover. The manager could have been nice about it while they secured another form of payment instead of belittling them in front of everyone. Their waiter was amazing though. Seems they need to promote the waiter as the new manager.”

“My wife and I ate dinner at Fraser’s at 6:00 on a Monday evening in November. Plenty of parking, food was PERFECT, and drinks were delicious. My wife is gluten free and there are many options.
I recommend the ceasar salad and house old fashioned. The burgers were also amongst the best I have ever had…no hyperbole!
Thank you Mahalia for the excellent service!”
“We came here to celebrate Thanksgiving. Very nice place to visit and great food. I’m a huge fan of fried calamari and you must try it. We also ordered raw oysters and Virginia ones are better because it’s smoother and sweeter!”

“We came here for my husband’s birthday dinner. Not only did they seat us way before our reservation, but the lovely host gave us a fabulous table after learning it was my hubby’s bday. The overall atmosphere was very family friendly, but upscale. The views and staff were spectacular, but the FOOD! DELICIOUS! We had the crab dip and chargrilled oysters to start. AMAZING! The fried saltines paired with the crab dip was a delicacy all on its own. For entrees, I had the surf and turf and my hubby had the redfish. I have never had a steak that tender and cooked to perfection. It was butter. The lobster was insanely good. Both my hubby’s and MIL’s fish were fresh and cooked perfectly. My FIL had the fried platter and loved it! His only complaint was the gumbo he had to start was too cold. They surprised my hubby with the most moist and delicious brownie sundae at the end. Overall, we couldn’t stop talking about this place long after our meal was over. We will definitely come again!”

“We had another wonderful meal at Charlie’s! Our son loves the cheese burger (only needs one patty for the kids), the red fish special was incredible as were the scallops. As someone who loves a fabulous desert and is annoyed by imposters (such a bummer when they aren’t worth it) let me tell you, that chocolate peanut butter trifle cake is the real deal and then some! Yum! And our 9yo son loved the chocolate sauce on the ice cream, however now he’s convinced he needs to travel to Brussels one day for their exquisite chocolate :) we enjoy the classic and timeless historical feel of the venue, service was wonderful, thank you!”
“Unbelievable hidden gem in Bluffton, SC. Impeccable appointments throughout the inn. Decor and artwork are spot on. Incredibly available and friendly staff who seem proud to be a part of this property. Great beds, perfect water pressure in shower and a perfectly stocked snack pantry of homemade goodies ranging from sweet to savory. If you enjoy fabulous dining, great shops and fabulous art galleries- well this location cannot be beat. Shout out to Katie and Bonnie who made us feel completely at home in their southern hospitality.
Rooms: Plush, elegant, comfy and incredibly appointed.
Walkability: Super convenient walking distance to all the magic downtown Bluffton has to offer.”
“We just ate at Fishcamp. The food was great. The Calimari and pickles were great. My mother-in-law got the stuffed flounder with asparagus and she said that the asparagus was great and she doesn't even like asparagus. My daughter got the peel and eat shrimp boil and she said it was great and took a huge to go box with her. Our server was great. We will be back perhaps before we go home.”

“The food was fantastic. I had the broiled and blackened seafood platter. Very good. The cheese grits were also very good.”

“Had a great late lunch/early dinner with Ben and Terry!!”
“Kenny has been amazing! He told us all the ways to get deals and discounts and he was great with the kids bringing them stickers and such. We have 3 younger kids that have so much energy on vacation that they don’t sit still so it was great to have a place to go where they have so many games to play while we sit and enjoy some drinks and food. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip next year for sure.”
“The four of us loved Pomodori. Our waiter Sam was knowledgeable and personable. The food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. The entire staff were welcoming. The only thing I kept wondering was why did I wait so long to try Pomodori!!”
“as someone who lived and traveled extensively in the Mediterranean during my Navy days, finding this amazing gem in Blufton, SC has been incredible! Saganaki, grape leaves, gyros, tzatziki, baba ganoush, all absolutely delicious! Hands-down the BEST Mediterranean food I have had since my times in the Med. 10 stars!!”

“We were on vacation in Hilton Head and decided to give this place a try! The lady working the desk was the sweetest person and just so kind! The Carmel latte was amazing and my boyfriend got one of the desserts and said it was delicious! They also had a few gluten free desserts as well! I would recommend this place to anybody!”
“Want to give a shout out to this awesome little ice cream shop in Hilton Head with THE Best cones and (my fave) praline ice cream and other tasty treats. We stopped in yesterday leaving town and so glad we did. The sweetest young lady Anna who served us was such a delight. We will definitely be back in next time we are on the Island! Thank you!”
“We always make sure to eat at the Sea Shack when visiting HHI—best grouper on the island! Got takeout last week, got home and realized we didn’t get our ordered desserts. Not a big deal, called for a refund. Instead, manager brought the key lime pies we ordered and added a banana pudding! Awesome customer service!”
“My family and I visited during our vacation last week. We waited a couple hours due to a storm but it was DEFINITELY worth the wait! The BEST food around I had crab legs and my son had the filet and lobster tail. Absolutely the best we have ever had. I would drive 9 hours just to eat there! Staff was perfect and great waitress Lexie was outstanding!”
“I ordered a GF German Chocolate Birthday cake for my Sweetheart. It was Sooo Delicious!!! I couldn't tell it was gluten free, the taste and texture were exceptional! Thank you, G-Free Spot, for making great GF food options for the Lowcountry. See you again very soon. : )”
“We visited Hilton Head/Bluffton/Beaufort area for a few days from New York City and had a list of places to go. Unfortunately we didn’t make it to all but we did stop by Red Stripes and babyyyy, we were glad we did!! The food was absolutely delicious and totally unexpected. Jamaican cuisine is not something every one can do, native or not, but the owner and the chefs at the Bluffton location exactly what they’re doing. The food, drinks, and service was impeccable. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!”

“We own a condo in Bluff Villas next door and the moment I arrive my first stop is always Salty Dog Ice Cream shop! They have a rotating menu but my fave is the Oreo. Honestly every flavor I have ever had has been absolutely delicious. I love this place and the hush puppies at the cafe are a close second!”
“We stopped in to get dessert. We had a total of 6 people in our group. We waited patiently for 10 minutes. People were gathered behind us as well. A couple walks in and was immediately served. I spoke up and noted we had been waiting there for a long time and were next. After the couple was served, the employee walked away to wait on someone else. I told him they needed a new system. He was very rude and said that it works fine for them. There were a couple of young men working at the time. They were rude and inconsiderate. The place was not very clean either. We walked out & will not return.”
“We had the pleasure of being served by Des, who was absolutely fantastic. From the start, he was polite, attentive, and incredibly helpful with anything we needed. The line moved quickly, and even when there was a small mistake with our order, everything was resolved efficiently. The food was excellent and the milkshakes were filled and blended completely.”
“Brittany broke down Starbucks terminology for me. I appreciate it because words have meaning. From one side of this country to the other, batistas speak the same words with different implications of meanings. After enjoying my time, a gentleman walks up to me and says that Starbucks should use me in a commercial. He says that I look so comfortable and at peace. Truth be told is that I've been with Jesus. #FCBCWordWednesday #Prayer #Devotional #FaithANDObedience #RUNNINGSERVANT #RUNandSERVE #IRunforAiden #gettingitforgabby”
“I don't typically support Starbucks however my friend chose here to meet up.My drink was fabulous ?Grilled cheese was good, didn't realize it was just heated up (don't dine in enough to realize they don't have stove or grill top) so all things considered, it was tasty.”
“My son has severe tree nut allergies and Hailey went above and beyond to keep him safe while serving him his ice cream! Not all establishments take this type of care to protect those with allergies and I really appreciated her efforts. We will definitely be back.”
“Was across the street at a tourist area with 4 hour wait times. They were busy but sat us within 10 min. Great hostess and service!!”
“The four of us loved Pomodori. Our waiter Sam was knowledgeable and personable. The food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. The entire staff were welcoming. The only thing I kept wondering was why did I wait so long to try Pomodori!!”

“Husband found this little gem tucked away in a little corner. Arrive early if you would like a seat. Their gyros, spanakopita, chicken kabob and salads are excellent! However, their baklava is a PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH! The only thing that rivals their food is their hospitality. ❤️ This is the best place on the island for authentic Mediterranean! You’re welcome in advance!”
“We walked in and made our way to the counter to order. The lady at the register was friendly and patient while we decided on our orders. She told us about the specials that were available and showed us the combo plates listed on the side wall. She was knowledgeable about which items could be prepared gluten free and helped us make substitutions so my son could enjoy what he wanted.
After ordering, we quickly found a table and visited the salsa bar while we waited. But we didn't have to wait long. Our food was brought out quickly. Everything was exactly as ordered and delicious.
If there was one small critique, it would be about the excessive use of styrofoam. I wish they either used reusable dishes or something slightly more eco-friendly. But otherwise, no complaints!”
“Drinks were good, music great. However. we ordered chili fries for $10.95 and asked for the chili on the side. we got the fries with chili in a small cup. But when we got the bill we were charged full price AND $1.00 extra for chili on the side. WTH. We didn't get extra chili!!!!! One dollar is not a big deal, overcharging is!!!!”
“We've been coming here for 12years! And NEVER get tired!! Their food is excellent. My favorite is THE "PECAN STICKY BUNS". And I have to have "Southern Pecan" coffee to start my day! Susie and Karen always have smile on their faces and make me feel very welcome.
I'll sure to come back again next year!”
“Very cute spot in HHI it was my first time there and loved it, the atmosphere is welcoming and warm and they have actual good plant based and vegan food. I ordered a S green detox, s soup of the day, a budha bowl and a yom roll everything was amazing very tasty, fresh and healthy I absolutely recommend this awesome place. Will be back!

“Incredible anniversary dinner for one vegan and one omnivore! The atmosphere was elevated and also very comfortable. Flavors and execution were incredible and we had a terrific experience. We plan to return!”
“This has been by far our favorite food as first time visitors on HHI. The brisket sandwich was really good, vinegar bbq sauce was so yummy. Garlic parm and Hawaii 5-0 were so good!”

“Wow!!! Not only was the food was great, but the experience was one that made memories. All was made fresh before our eyes. I recommend the Philly Steak & my granddaughter was so l all over the home-fries. It not everyday a visitor finds many places like Harold's. Glad we did!”
“We dined at this restaurant last evening arriving around 5:15 and seated right away. Our server, Hart was awesome and our orders were accurate and he went out of his way to accommodate our requests. The atmosphere was nice but started to get really noisy upon our departure. The hush puppies were delicious and our Bloody Mary was exceptional but the rest of our food was mediocre. I will say my scallops were sweet and tender. Everyone else in our party said their dinners were just ok.”
“We come here often because we live close by and, after several months of trying various restaurants, we’re convinced that this is our favorite. The food and the service is always good and the place feels welcoming and relaxing. Every server and bartender is friendly and we always feel right at home.”
“Perfect place for some out-of-towners to watch play-off baseball! Lots of TVs, pool tables, and seating options. Definitely has that local ‘dive bar’ feeling but the food was excellent (best patty melt I’ve had in a long time) and service was also great. Thumbs up!”

“After a long day of driving, the meal was delicious … the hush puppies were cooked to perfection and so yummy; the best She Crab soup ever; and the salmon and cole slaw were just what I wanted - so good. The best staff … polite, pleasant, helpful, and such perfect timing. Our server was so fun and responsive to any requests. Can’t wait to go back.”

“My wife and I recently dined at Red Fish and had a lovely experience. We appreciated the cozy and intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, which made for a romantic evening out. One of the highlights of our visit was the opportunity to choose a bottle from their impressive wine cellar, which had an extensive selection of wines from around the world. The food was delicious and satisfying. The chef clearly takes great care in creating each dish, using fresh and high-quality ingredients to bring out the best flavors. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive and friendly without feeling overbearing. We appreciated the attention to detail that went into every aspect of our dining experience, from the wine selection to the food presentation to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, we highly recommend Red Fish to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal and outstanding wine selection, Red Fish is definitely worth a visit.”
Thank you!”
“We were hesitant after reading some of the reviews. We ended up getting coupons from our resort and decided to take our chances. Glad we did! Delicious food. Sides are on the fancy side for me but considering the amount of steaks, sausage and etc cut at your table makes up for it. If you like a higher end side bar then 100%for you. Our servers were wonderful and made sure we didn’t miss a thing being brought out. We give a 10/10. The pineapple martini is perfect.”
“Had a great late lunch/early dinner with Ben and Terry!!”
