“I’m so bummed it didn’t get photos of the entrees. Our server was THE BEST!! I forgot her name - if I remember I will update this post. The food was delicious and they have some pretty awesome specials to offer. I must go back at some point to try that blue cheese bread pudding (I mean what!?!?!). Wine list was appropriate and BTW - if you’re wondering, that grilled cheese on the menu comes with ALL those ingredients listed on the menu. I had to ask! Parking can be a challenge but no one parked on the main road where there was there was plenty of paid parking if there is none in the lot. We missed the restaurant the first time driving through the lot because there are several other businesses and a gas station so we were overwhelmed entering the lot. Obviously we found it:)”

The Kelpie on Tybee was a great idea.

“I just realized that I never left a review, likely because great places often slip my mind when it comes to sharing feedback, it's usually the bad experiences that prompt a review unfortunately. However, I can't express enough how much I love this local gem. They have a fantastic menu, a friendly and personable staff, and the prices are excellent. The only downside is that you need to know when to go, as the locals often fill the place up, finding a seat can be challenging!”

“GREAT TIME!! My wife and I just visited Tybee Island for the first time a couple of weeks ago. This bar served as our go to spot. Sometimes twice a day. Staff was MORE than friendly and drink pours were ABSOLOUTLY generous. We plan on going back in the summer and will for sure be visiting our new friends again.”

“We love it here! This was mine and my husband’s 5th time coming here and it was great. The environment was amazing and the atmosphere is very welcoming. This time didn’t end like we would have wanted. Our server was great except he kept calling us dudes or some other nickname that isn’t used to address women. There were 3 guys and 3 girls so dudes wasn’t the most appropriate name to call us when trying to get our attention. As the night went on service was still good but then was time for the check. We asked our server for our check but no check was given to us, just a total (which was $50). We gave him $61 and told him to keep the change. We started thinking about how there was no way 8 beers and an $8 nachos costed that much (we ate 2 nights ago with family and all 5 of us ate and had 1 beer for $54). After confronting our server asking for a receipt, we got some attitude (like he knew he had been caught, and he was). After waiting to get the receipt it never came. He then sat down and showed me his notes. He lied and added things that we didn’t order trying to get more money out of us not knowing we have been there several times. After going back and forth on him being wrong and charging us too much, I said if every beer was $4 (which they are cheaper than that) or bill would be $40. He looked at his notepad nervously and said you’re right it’s $40, again lying and not actually knowing what it costs. He didn’t know where he messed up or what we actually had. Once we settled on $40 because I was tired of arguing, he brought me $10 assuming he still got an $11 tip. I left it and just said I hope he doesn’t do this to other people and understands how to be honest so he can keep my $11. Hoping to have this be a lesson for him. This was very frustrating because 1, don’t steal from customers and try to play it off (which he was and that’s why he was shaking and stumbling on words nervously when he got caught) and 2, don’t steal from your company. Overall, I highly recommend this place. We just won’t ever have him as a server again. I wish we knew our got his name, but we didn’t!”

“The Miyagi Beef tacos were absolutely amazing. I also stole my dinning partners cole slaw and it was the best I've had ever. great place, great service, and great tasting food. The outdoor dining also has a play area for the littles so they can run off some more energy.”

“We come every year as a family to tybee because of the atmosphere. We came down again today for another reason our daughter's birthday that passed and went and ate here when I tell you they make you feel at home and family they do. The waitress Laura was so sweet and had great service she didn't know what today was or anything she just remembered us from a trip before. She made us feel like we use to when we all were here. We always loved there food and I forgot that my order came with tomatoes. Of course being allergic when she brought the food I saw and was just going to let my husband have it. Her and the chief made me another order and had it ready in no time. They were great. They apologized but it wasn't there fault it was mine. When I say I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone I would and have. We come from Chattanooga and I even tell people there about them. Thank you all for being so great my family and I appreciate it.”

“We stopped here on a rainy Sat night on our anniversary trip to Tybee Island. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from trying this place. If you like tacos, this is a must. My favorite taco was the Baha Fish taco and my husband's was the Carne Asada. The peach margaritas were good and so was the chip sampler. Kinda pricey but we will definitely return on our next trip.”

“went with a friend. We each got a single scoop of ice cream (no toppings). It was $18.. before being prompted to tip. There is a reason they don't have a complete list of prices listed. The man at the register made a bit of an unappreciated remark. He said the guy dipping ive cream was giving generous portions (which was comical).. and tried to act like we got double scoops. (we did not) won't be back.”

“A friend told me to check this place out, and I’m so glad I did! Tried alligator for the first time—surprisingly tasty—and the fried seafood combo was fresh and filling. Chill vibes, friendly staff, and a really fun spot overall. Would come back for sure”
