“We've been wanting to try Sundae Cafe for the past few years we went to Tybee and this year we (FINALLY) did! Easily the most recommended spot on the island by locals and I have no doubt why after giving it a try. Simply one of the best meals of my life! Reservations are strongly recommended by the restaurant and that isn't something to be ignored - they were packed the night we were there with no walk in availability.“
“What a great little spot hubby and I came across on Tybee Island. We visited on a Friday evening after work. We were greeted as we walked in and seated promptly. Our server was attentive and had excellent recommendations. We started with the Frito Misto. It was delicious ? we also had the grilled shrimp with pickled watermelon salad (my favorite) and hubby had the AYE flounder and added shrimp. We were thoroughly pleased with our menu selections and the service. We will visit again.“
“The gumbo, the gumbo, the gumbo! Don’t judge a book by its cover. The outside of the building and location had me on pause. The inside is clean and cute! The lady that took my order was nice. The gumbo was how gumbo is supposed to taste. I’d definitely go back there if I find myself in Tybee again.“
“We have our favorites spots to eat on Tybee and did not realize this year that many restaurants are closed on Tuesdays. Wind Rose Cafe was open and even though we do not smoke or drink, we went in to get something to eat. The woman who does the cooking took our order and after we asked what she would recommend...we opted for a couple of burgers. Hands down...the BEST burger we've ever had on Tybee. You can tell it was hand-made, very juicy and tasted great. We did not get her name...but our thanks to the woman who made that recommendation and that burger! We will be back.T“
“We came here with a tour so I was expecting it to be a pretty mediocre spot and was happily wrong. This place is a gem and a definite stop on your way to Tybee Island. We ordered the Devil crab sandwich and devil crab platter. Both full of crab and flavor. I tried it with the signature sauces at the table and it was so delicious. I'm regretting not buying the BBQ sauce. On top of having good food, it's a cool place to visit and walk around. Between the alligator pit and chatty birds it's a fun place for the family.“
“WOW is all I have to say. We were visiting Tybee Island from Arizona and say this place on maps and decided to give it a try. The entrance is a little sketchy and doesn’t look like a restaurant but do not let that deter you. The restaurant and patio seating is actually huge. We sat on the patio with our dog and the view was amazing. For food I would 1000% recommend the sweet potato fries. The cinnamon butter they come with is out of this world. I will have to go back to Tybee Island just for those fries. I also had the crab burger and it was delicious. The sauce it comes with is so flavorful. Top tier service. I cannot say enough good things about this place.“
“Sunday night dinner. 6 of us craving seafood. Didn’t want to wait for an hour to eat at Fannys. Asked a local if Bernie’s was good: she replied “all the restaurants get their seafood off the same 4 boats”….. we tried it and it was excellent. Great entrees and no wait! Don’t expect glasses, silverware and table cloths…..just plastic cups, plastic forks and great food (and a really good playlist over the speakers).“
“Food was great I had the chicken jerk sandwich my friend had the brisket burger nice size portions but the sweet potato fries we're amazing with the honey and balsamic reduction highly recommend them great music playing and only steps away from the beach“
“Cute beachside place, nice selection of foods (something for everyone), friendly staff, and good food. The fried pickle chips were excellent, fried chicken fingers were pretty tasty, and the blackened grouper was excellent! I’d recommend trying it to anyone in or visiting the area.“
“The food was pretty good, and we had to wait about 20 minutes. Our server was very nice and made sure our food was correct and our drinks were full. However, the seating was kind of confusing. When we walked up we told the host we wanted to sit upstairs, so she just pointed in the direction of the stairs. When we got to the top there was no one to tell us where to sit or if there were any tables available. We eventually found a table to sit at, and everything ran smoothly after that.“
“The food is amazing you won't regret it(Snow crab and the Tybee Island gumbo)... Drinks was great.. definitely got to keep this place in mind for the next time I visit.. Our server was kind of slack, but it was St Patty's weekend.“
“This was my first time visiting this restaurant and the atmosphere was very nice.It is written based on Korean standards. The portion size is larger than expected and it is saltier than expected. It felt like it was cooked with fresh seafood, and leftover food can be taken out.We ate outside on the second floor, and the wind was blowing a bit strong, which bothered us, and the food got cold quickly. However, it was nice to be able to enjoy the food without worrying about fine dust, and the waiter provided continuous care.If you don't like pigeons, I recommend going to the terrace on the first floor rather than outside on the second floor.Parking: Parking is available right nearby, but it is not for restaurant use only. This is paid street parking.“
