“We had a family occasion to visit Madison's a few weeks ago with a party of six. We had reservations and the meal had been planned for a while. When the food arrived, we (most of us) were astonished at the small size of a combination platter. I personally had scallops and flounder. I had two TINY strips of flounder, not even the size of a frozen fish stick. What a disappointment. The scallops were also 'marble' size. The price of the meal, with an adult beverage, was over 70.00. The cost nowhere represented what the meal should have been. One of our couples asked if the combination platter was enough to split. The server's answer was "they could eat one of them by themselves." This should have been our warning. Very disappointed in the meal. I have had appetizers larger the two tiny slices of flounder. We return to Beaufort on occasions, as family lives there, but we will NOT return to Madison's.“

“This is local favorite spot for many that live in the area. The views of the Beautiful Beaufort river are just incredible. From the Tuesday night trivia to the live music on the weekends, it just feels like home to so many. The food has an island flair that is just nice and refreshing. Not like the regular fried seafood restaurants where it comes pre-breaded from Sisco. Something cool about fresh seafood that’s prepped in-house It’s a regular stop for my wife and I. My recommendation, if you want one of the best seaside views to share a glass of wine or a great local draft beer with friends, give this gem a try. You will keep coming back.“

“My family and I visited during our vacation last week. We waited a couple hours due to a storm but it was DEFINITELY worth the wait! The BEST food around I had crab legs and my son had the filet and lobster tail. Absolutely the best we have ever had. I would drive 9 hours just to eat there! Staff was perfect and great waitress Lexie was outstanding!“

“party of 15 celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary. First time visitors, the views are spectacular, the food was delicious ... a great time was had by all of us. Kevin F. was our server, he was friendly, attentive and provided us great suggestions. we will return for drinks on the dock!“
“We had a small gathering this weekend and had Maggioni Oyster Company cater the oysters. It was outstanding! Jeff and team provided excellent service! The oysters were cooked perfectly and they were delicious. There was never a gap in serving fresh oysters from the steamer and they were all easy to open! Their set up and tear down was seamless. I highly recommend Maggioni Oyster Company for your next gathering! As a side note, if you just want a few fresh and delicious oysters on the half shell, you can find Jeff shucking them, with a smile, at the Port Royal Farmers Market of Saturday mornings! A second side note….if you want great live music with your party, look no further than The Jeff Beasley Band…..he is a master of both trades!“

“My husband and I are huge sushi snobs! We gave this place a try and every single thing we ate over a two day period was pure heavenly! Hunter is one of a kind and the open kitchen concept was amazing! We sat at the bar watched him prepare mills all while having a full on conversation with us for hours. Truly an unforgettable experience and a forever customer!!!! Shouting this place from the rooftops!!!“

“Pretty good food but not my favorite presentation or seating arrangements. Expect to be sat within arma reach of other tables and only a single restroom for the whole restaurant.
Food was good but 90% of their menu is tacos and booze which is fine for us taco lovers! They are served with the filling for 2 tacos on top of two tortillas. It is quite difficult to get the second tortilla out from under the other and there is too much filling to go at it as one taco. I just decided to eat it down with a fork and eat a double tortilla single taco.“

“One of the BEST RESTAURANTS I’ve ever been to!! Make a reservation but plan to eat a lot of yummy food! It’s the best flavored meat I’ve ever had!!! Each time we have friends visit we come here!!! It’s amazing and you will not be disappointed!! Try the burnt Mac & cheese - jalepeno- bacon… and all of the meats, pulled pork, brisket! INCREDIBLE!!! Super reasonable as well! Plenty of room and full bar, but just in case always make a reservation!!!“

“William Green; the owner of this small home-style "Gullah Cooking cuisine" restaurant, let us (party of 8) in after closing early due to poor weather. The hospitality he greeted us with was as if he had never closed the restaurant. This kind, generous man welcomed us into his local-art-stocked room. Mr. Green was the only worker in the place at this time. He took our order with impeccable accuracy, went back to the kitchen, and prepared the comfort food himself. Surprisingly, he arrived with the food 20 minutes after the order was placed. The stories he told us of his fishing and hunting excursions are spiritual connections I will carry for a lifetime. This man is truly God-sent, and if you're ever in South Carolina, I recommend this place "Gullah Grub", to anyone in the area. He will treat you with upmost respect and courtesy and he will give you his best! God Bless this man and his family!!“

“Although we were very disappointed this time with Fishcamp, food that we did get was good. Our visit this year was on May 26, 2024 Last year at this time I was able to order the fried flounder and fries from the gluten free area. It was absolutely delicious! We have looked forward to eating here again. I had recommended this restaurant to family and friends. We realize I eat at my own risk. I don’t have a gluten problem I have a dairy allergy. This time however, per our waitress, I could only have the low country boil with no butter or the filet mignon. No salads as they all have cheese on them. I guess salads may be premade. I ordered the low country boil. It was to have shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn. It came with no sausage. We asked for it and it was promptly brought out as four small pieces not cooked or even warm. Some of the boiled shrimp were so mushy on the inside I could not eat them. As for the taste of the rest it was good. The corn was very fresh. My husband ordered the fried shrimp and fries. That plate looked good but the order of fries was ten small fries. Our waitress was Melanie. We were her only table outside that I am aware of. I never got refills on water and my husband only got one refill on tea. As I said we were outside where it was warm and we quickly drank our beverages. I am not sure that we will eat here again nor recommend it.“
