I know folks who will drive over from Hilton Head or Blufton for a chance to enjoy a meal at Chef Frank's in Port Royal.”

“Fish Camp on 11th Street is putting out some great seafood! We found it through a TikTok review of the Beaufort area, and it did not disappoint. This place is huge with plenty of seating, so we did not have a problem finding a comfortable table on the screened-in porch. First off, we tried a couple cocktails - the Crab Punch and the Pineapple Mojito (both were excellent - the Mojito was very good blend of ingredients). Our server, Vanda, was super helpful in making a recommendation of a starter that was not on the menu - it was a shrimp/clam fritter with an amazing butter/tequila/lime dipping sauce - out of this world! For our main courses, I got the Shrimp & Polenta (cajun smoked ham, peppers, cheddar cheese, fried green tomato) - I highly recommend this dish. The cajun sauce was killer mixed with the polenta (grits). My wife got the Daufuskie Island Crab Cake meal (blue crab cake, sharp cheddar cheese polenta, mustard cream sauce, broccolini) - this entree was equally tasty with layers of flavors. Did I mention that our server Vanda was amazing, smiley, quick, and excellent at providing stellar recommendations? That young lady deserves a raise! Try this place, y'all!”

“I’m from up north. I’ve been in Beaufort for 2 years. Tried many of the pizza joints here during that period of time. This is the best one and it’s not even close.

Stopped in today with my wife and daughter and ordered a large pepperoni pizza and knew as soon as I looked at it that it was going to be the closest thing to back home within 20 miles of here. The woman working the window was very friendly too, and the patio area was clean and comfortable.

“I’ve been here on several occasions and have always enjoyed my visits, but today was definitely a standout experience, largely because of Spencer.

The food was great, as expected, but Spencer took what could have been a simple dining experience and turned it into something genuinely memorable. His charisma, personality, and ability to connect with people are exceptional. He has that rare ability to make you feel welcomed and valued without it ever seeming forced or rehearsed. He was attentive, engaging, personable, and brought an energy to the experience that simply made being there more enjoyable.

It’s especially refreshing to see a young person in the service industry who seems genuinely passionate about what he does and understands the impact he can have on the people he serves. Great service is about much more than taking an order or bringing food to a table. It’s about creating an experience, and Spencer absolutely understands that.

I would definitely return for the food, but I would 100% return because of the experience Spencer adds to the visit. Employees like him are the kind of people you remember afterward, and they’re a huge asset to any business fortunate enough to have them.

Spencer, keep doing exactly what you’re doing. You turned an ordinary meal into an experience worth writing about.”

“We had a family occasion to visit Madison's a few weeks ago with a party of six. We had reservations and the meal had been planned for a while. When the food arrived, we (most of us) were astonished at the small size of a combination platter. I personally had scallops and flounder. I had two TINY strips of flounder, not even the size of a frozen fish stick. What a disappointment. The scallops were also 'marble' size. The price of the meal, with an adult beverage, was over 70.00. The cost nowhere represented what the meal should have been. One of our couples asked if the combination platter was enough to split. The server's answer was "they could eat one of them by themselves." This should have been our warning. Very disappointed in the meal. I have had appetizers larger the two tiny slices of flounder. We return to Beaufort on occasions, as family lives there, but we will NOT return to Madison's.”

“If you want the best pizza in Beaufort look no further. We stopped by and had a choice of seating in either the hip store to the left or more traditional place to the right. Same great food. We chose the left and had spectacular service from Sean. A great local resource he went out of his way with service you only find in expensive venues. The pizza is true brick oven and the ingredients were fresh. They have a sofa sitting area near the fireplace that caps your evening. We had bourbons. Perfect evening.”
