“From walking in the door until we left we felt welcomed. The food was delicious and we even had our meals explained to us by the chef. Go for the Tiny Bar Concert series and get a personal performance with dinner. 10 out of 10!”

“After living on HHI we made our long awaited first visit to The Bluffton Room and we were not disappointed. We started the evening with our server Dana walking us through the cocktails and the history of the restaurant. For appetizers we shared the Caesar brûlée which had a unique and tasty dressing topped with lots of Parmesan cheese. She She-crab soup was a standout with its light texture and pieces of crab. Dana explained that they pressed their own lemon oil from the lemon rind and this was a lovely touch. For dinner we shared the 32 oz. porterhouse steak cooked medium rare. The steak had an excellent mix of spices and was cooked perfectly. It was served sliced and piping hot. Alongside our steak we had the mushrooms and Brussel sprouts. To end the night I had a coffee while my husband had a cappuccino to accompany the cappuccino brûlée. We will definitely visit again and we look forward to try other items on the menu and visiting the bar.”

“Food was innovative & overall a 5. The fried chicken kare kare was a favorite. Tip: Don't eat outside until they add fans or something to discourage the unbelievably aggressive flies! My wife & I spent the entire brunch trying in vain to keep them off our food & drinks .”

They claimed to be short staffed, and the restaurant was full. It was an energetic environment but hard to hear our table conversation. Despite the minor setbacks, this is a good restaurant and we will go back.”

Order was The Flounder Poboy and half moon and key lime pie The fish was Flounder was cooked perfectly their sauce amazing. the sandwich as a whole was very good. The half moon was also a great dish. The marinara was not needed and didn't add anything to the great flavor. Their kettle chips were crispy and tasty you have to try their ranch. The only thin that was not great was the marinara however the dish still deserves 5 stars. The keylime pie was amazing. Will come again”

“Lobster roll is definitely a go for to eat. Was not a huge fan of the loaded potatoes as it was very plain ( mostly tasted like bacon and cheese ). The service was good and quick but the restaurant is very small and hard to get a seat to eat indoor. You are better off getting your food and eating in the parking lot.

Parking: The parking lot is very packed and may be hard to find a spot. There may be a chance you will have to drive around a couple of times.”

“First of all, unless someone told you about this restaurant, you might miss it as it’s not on the main street. It’s in a beautiful area of Old Town Bluffton. Second, it was very hard to pick something from the menu! Everything sounded so good! Overall, service was wonderful, food was amazing, and everything was perfectly cooked. We started out with Ahi Tuna Poke and the Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizers. Both were very good, but the tomatoes…so good! I could’ve just had a large plate of that for dinner! The entrees, we got pictures of below and we all loved our entrees! We sat outside, as that was all that was available last minute, and the temperature was surprisingly very nice for an August evening. Make sure to get reservations early, if you want to sit inside. Plenty of parking on the street, as most of the surrounding businesses were closed for the day. Will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.”

If the restaurant was busier I suspect my review would be very different. It’s not possible for 1 bartender to manage ALL tables and the bar. Food and engagement from both the chef and bartender was great while sitting at the bar.”

“Nectar is our top pick for breakfast while in Hilton Head. Our son has Type 1 Diabetes and they were more than accommodating in providing us carb counts for everything. Super friendly staff who went above and beyond for our family. The atmosphere is so welcoming. It feels like a cozy little spot where you can take your time and really enjoy your meal. We can’t wait to go back and try the lunch and dinner menu on our next HH trip later this month.”

I may make the trip from Illinois on an annual basis just for a taste of Jack Frost’s Rum Raisin with legit rum-soaked raisins. “Our family is here visiting Hilton Head from TX. We stumbled on Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q in Bluffton. What a great experience! Food was outstanding and so was the service. Latisha was so welcoming and helpful as we reviewed all of the choices in bar-b-q meats but especially all of the sides. If you wants some good southern barb-b-q, this is the place. We ordered Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Coleslaw, Potato Salad, and their homemade Cheese Biscuits. Our whole family was happy with everything we ordered. Also, don’t miss trying Dorothy’s Peach Tea. This is a home run….we will become a regular every time we are on the island. As a sidebar, I went back today and bought four packages of the cheese biscuits, a pound of shredded pork, a couple bottles of bar-b-q sauce and two small dry rubs. Who was there today, Latisha! She remembered our family and was helpful in gathering my order and throwing in some Carolina vinegar based sauce for good measure. I had someone pick it up and it was coconut flavor I specifically asked if you have plain ice, no sugar and no flavored syrup bc it’s too much. She asked they said yes <~and I let her know I would pay for it as a large drink. They lied and took my $4.38. I threw it away when I got it.”

“We went on vacation to the beach. Happened to stop at a Walmart that had a burger place called Wayback Burgers. Now I'm a burger man I love burgers and Philly cheesesteaks. The double bacon burger and Philly cheese steak we're awesome. I also purchase a chicken BLT sandwich for my son plane of course and he said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. The owner was awesome he actually gave me two free drinks because I forgot to order drinks. If you are ever in this city try the Wayback Burger place in Walmart. The food was awesome.”

“This Subway location was very clean with 10+ tables inside and outside. for people to sit and eat. The soda fountains have a lot of choices. There are two large private bathrooms in the back. They play the radio for music and the 2 workers there were very courteous. I got the veggie patty which was pretty good with some honey mustard and toppings. There was wifi available (just ask for pw) and I got to refill my drink (in my own cup) so yay for that. I could see myself doing work here. I also like that the Bluffton Breeze bus drives by here during the week which is helpful.”

Spouse and I ordered from the menu, including advice from Oscar. Menu is deceptively simple. We got bacon and delicious home fries not on the menu, just included. He got the Mexican omelet. I especially enjoyed the WARMED mild tomato based salsa I got to drizzle over my food. Sunnyside up eggs were perfect, crispy corn tortillas were delicious. So glad we tried this tucked out of the way spot. Will be back for breakfast and more!”

And not to mention Mrs. Carely who is on the side selling desserts ? and a plus is that you come with cash so you can play pirinola with those who sell the roast chicken!!Inside they have esquites, chamoyadas, sweet bread. The strawberry tres leches cake is very delicious.All with excellent service. We will surely return!”

“we love it here. it's the closest we can get to a taste of home. the cheese steaks are always hot. they are always fresh and made to order. they also serve sausage and peppers. the sausage is delicious. this is usually the special.
they now have breakfast as well. I missed taking a picture. when we sat at the picnic table we met a couple and we sat and enjoyed our lunch and talked about memories from home. it was a perfect lunch. if you like cheese steaks or sausage and peppers try them out they are the best. they are a cash only business.

Parking: they are located in the home depot parking lot so there is plenty of parking.”

Chef Andy is one of Hampton Lake's many treasures. The special theme nights are always fantastic, and he is always out on the floor, just to make sure it is. Excellent food, service, and prices.
