The food was not enjoyable at all. The veggies were undercooked. The crab soup was too liquidy and sweet. The hushpuppies were tough and dry. I tried some meatloaf. It was mostly filler. Only the mashed potatoes were okay. The seafood was underwhelming. Disappointing experience.

Gilligan's is a traditional - some would say old-fashioned – seafood restaurant. But this is what we were interested in as we visited Beaufort, and we were not disappointed. Our fried seafood was tasty, crisp, and well-prepared. The light salad and fried okra we ordered were fresh too. Our young server was attentive and had perfect timing. We were served in a timely fashion and our meal was fresh from the kitchen and hot. We think this restaurant is underrated in its reviews.

Simply the very best Seafood, Fried Green Tomatoes, Low Country Collards, Fried Okra, Corn Fritters ( Hush Puppies )!!!The Service is the best I have ever had and everyone is very friendly!!!Also you are greeted by the Owner who is exceptionally friendly and professional!!!I know that there are many good seafood restaurants in the Beaufort S.C. area, however you do not want to miss out on a delicious and delightful experience at Gilligan’s Seafood Restaurant!!!
