It was a wise choice to stop here. Superb flavors for everything! BBQ chicken dinner, BBQ rib lunch, collard greens, mac & chez, red rice, potato salad, pipinghot cornbread, a perfect Arnold palmer with sweet tea & lemonade. So glad I took some togo also.
4 stars for one reason only, shrimp gumbo was tomato based and strong and the shrimp were over done but that happens when you cook a large batch of any food.There's the cold prickly, now the warm fuzzy...GREAT atmosphere and loved the history (really what you pay for) of the owner and son. Much of which can be seen on the walls and books in the restaurant.The food speaks of years of Gullah cooking which oft times was and still is limited by what was readily available and NOT PURCHASED...read full review

Chef Bill has got it going on! The staff at Gullah Grub was simply amazing: attentive and welcoming.
