Ice Cream Cone

“Loved it! Got there 30 minutes before opening. He opened up anyway. Got two snow cones as well as a pup cup for the dog. Ours were very good and my pup loved hers too. Owners son who waited on us also came out and talked for awhile. Really nice guy. Planing on going again before we go back home.“

Hot Dog

“I love coming to Beach Bites whenever I'm at Tybee Island. They are always very friendly, and have a large variety of food items from hot dogs to nachos, shakes, and ice cream at very reasonable prices. Another huge plus is the location is directly across from the pier and surrounded by a variety of retail soverneir shops as well.“

Boardwalk Ice Cream Ice Cream Shop •
9 Tybrisa St Unit 7, Tybee Island

“Just left Boardwalk Ice Cream with my family- great spot to get Hersey hard Ice Cream near the beach. The reason for 5 stars though is not really just for the ice cream though. It is to highlight an employee, James. He was the only one working this evening, which is the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. When we got onto line it was moving slowly, but we are never in a rush so we waited it out. It was past 10 pm when we got into the store, not realizing they close at 10. Once we were inside we noticed that James was the only employee, both scooping and checking out.By the time we got up to get our ice cream is was about 20-30 min past their closing, again we only knew this because at that point it seemed very overwhelming how consistently long the line was and James being the only person there. Our family communicated with the family at the end and they let people know the open sign was off- although the line ahead of even the last family was going to keep James there for a while (still roughly 20 people on line)Long story short: James is an outstanding employee, he has standards and rules that his employer put in place that he did not want to break and did not, even in a very stressful situation. So 5 stars to him.1 star to the management and owners of the establishment. To leave any employee to fend for themselves on a holiday weekend at one of the closest stores to the most popular part of Tybee Beach is horrible. Support your employees better.“

Mac N Cheese Bites

“My husband and I went next door to the North Beach Bar & Grill- We came in around 1-2pm on a Thursday and sat at the bar outside. Staff seemed short staffed and slow. Received drinks when we arrived and then it took a while someone to come back and check on us. We both decided to go next door to the Salty Pelican and were not disappointed! The Mac n’ Cheese bites were cheesy and spicy! The chicken quesadilla was also so good! Definitely recommend!“

Ice Cream and Gelato

“We've been traveling through St. Augustine and the greater Savannah area and eating far too much ice cream and this was without a doubt the best we've had. I regret not getting her name but the lady working in the shop was an absolute delight as well.“
