“The food was very good overall. Not a fan of the barbecue sauce choice for the lamb shank but other than that, the food was cooked well and presented nicely. We had the short rib and hanger steak as well. The waiter was very helpful and patient and the manager was welcoming as well. They acknowledge special occasions and make you feel welcome. The setting is also very nice. It can get a bit noisy but we enjoyed our experience overall.“

“We have been going to Alfred’s during our visits to HHI the past several years…our dinners this trip were just as great as our first visit! The service (Trent, Ian) is excellent; welcoming and friendly, great recommendations. The dinners are always delicious and perfectly prepared. We enjoy the seafood mornay appetizer, Gorgonzola salad, the beef filet (both grilled and au piovre), rack of lamb, beef Wellington; desserts are great too! We’ll be looking forward to coming back on our next visit.“

“We had a wonderful lunch (yet again!) at Fraser’s! This is our top favorite place to eat lunch that is nicer and yet very dog friendly. Karin our waiter yesterday was awesome, made us feel welcome and did not rush us but rather asked a few nice questions to get to know us. He made sure to check back on our food and drinks as needed. Great job! We especially like how caring he and the team always are towards our dog. It’s a great choice! We also always enjoy seeing our friend Omar there especially on weekends.“

“We’ve been to both the lounge for a nice date and the oceanfront dining with our toddler and love both. Tushar was our server when we had our toddler and he was very accommodating, I swear he got my son’s food served within ten minutes which was nice because we were only able to get a late reservation for the evening so our son was pretty tired by the time we sat down. I ordered a mule and the Sweet Corn Risotto, both were delicious. The risotto was a great mix of flavors including fried shrimp, pickled red onions, and cotija cheese.
After dinner, we split up and some of us went upstairs to the lounge to get drinks. Thomas was busy but made our drinks exactly as we liked them once he was available. We originally asked if we could sit on the patio outside but there were no servers available so we sat with Thomas at the bar. After we ordered a second drink, the host offered to help us carry our drinks out to the patio if we still wanted to sit outside. I didn’t catch his name but he was very sweet about it, we declined but appreciated it. I don’t think a Moscow mule was even on their menu as an option but both Tushar and Thomas were willing to make them for me.
I highly recommend this location for a fancy date or a nice evening out with the family.“

“Horrible manager on 10/13/2022! He ruined my daughter's 5 year anniversary dinner. They were in from out of state to attend a golf tournament and celebrate their anniversary. When it came time for payment the manager came over and told them they don't accept Discover and was really rude and belittled them for not having any other type of payment with them. There are no signs posted that they don't take Discover. The manager said what do you want us to do, sit everyone down beforehand and tell them we don't take Discover. A sign should have been posted. Every other establishment they visited in Hilton Head took Discover. The manager could have been nice about it while they secured another form of payment instead of belittling them in front of everyone. Their waiter was amazing though. Seems they need to promote the waiter as the new manager.“

“NO BONES ABOUT IT, THE RIBS ARE OUTSTANDING -- my husband and I have eaten at Red Fish every time we've visited HHI in the last 15 plus years. To-date, I've always gone seafood: sea bass, grouper, salmon and scallops. Decided to mix it up and go for the rack of ribs (or should it read raaaaaaaack of ribs). It filled a very large oval dish. Despite the size, the ribs were perfectly cooked, moist, tender, fell right off the bone. The sides of slaw and blue cheese potato gratin were great too. Well done Red Fish, well done. PS -- took half the ribs home and ate them for lunch today.“
