The Salty Dog Cafe Reviews
The food was outstanding Highly recommend will definitely be back Lord willing
One of our favorite spots on HHI! We love it for the atmosphere and the food. Plan to spend your whole evening there. There will be a wait, so just plan on it! Grab a drink and some popcorn and just enjoy your night! And make sure to leave some room for ice cream afterwards
A Hilton Head classic on the marsh at South Beach in Sea Pines! Excellent seafood, including a fantastic Low Country Boil with locally caught fresh peel and eat shrimp!!

The Salty Dog Cafe is a legendary spot on HHI, known for its fun atmosphere and live music in the evenings. The outdoor patio seating is a favorite, where guests can enjoy good food like the Mexiblend Salad, Gator bites, and tasty Chicken Fingers with Hushpuppies. The seafood options impress, including Fish and Chips, Mahi Mahi, broiled platter, and the Fisherman's seafood pasta, which some customers have praised as the best. The menu is quite huge, offering a variety that many love. The shrimp in the po'boy is noted for being quite crispy and tasty. The ice cream is a must-try, featuring rotating flavors and even a dairy-free option. Guests also enjoy the tasty Virgin Daiquiris and the nearby ice cream and gift shop. While some mention the $9 fee to enter the subdivision and the views of a muddy marsh, many appreciate the excellent service and atmosphere. The bartenders at the gazebo receive compliments for their friendliness and quick service. The drinks, whether frozen or not, are great, and visitors are encouraged to grab a T-shirt or more before leaving!
