We went there with our little dog and asked the waiter if we can sit in the Picknick area. So he said yes and I know there are signs which say no, but there where no other customers. However 5 min later the manager came and kicked us out. However, why is it called the salty dog, has a dog on the logo, but then dogs are not allowed. The coke was awful, way to much syrup. The water tastes like chlorine. The fries where also not good. And the smell there makes you gag!!!Don't bother going there, typical tourist trap!

Waiter didn’t understand a dietary restriction and kitchen didn’t accommodate the change. Big red flag for that. We went here for lunch on a Monday and had a great experience. We were seated within 5 minutes, sat outside, and had a fabulous view. The food was excellent - highly recommend the scallops and hush puppies - and not terribly expensive (although not cheap). Be sure to stop for ice cream after your meal - some of the best ice cream we've had. Definitely recommend a stop if you are in Sea Pines!

We pulled up two bar stools and sat at the outside bar and enjoyed the show. The bartenders were all extremely friendly and service oriented and constantly checking on everyone even though they were slammed. The burger was great - a wonderful spot to enjoy lunch after biking around the island / Sea Pines.
