Earle of Sandwich Pub Reviews
My husband and I snow bird on the island with many friends we’ve made over the years. This year we started going to trivia at the Earl on Wednesday evenings. It is usually a fun evening and the food is always good. But tonight the bartender Dan was grumpier than usual, the young man filling in for trivia appeared to be over served and by the end of evening made a mistake, and then insulted and blamed a customer for his error. Our family of 11 went yesterday for their very good sandwiches, but was horrified at their service. The male server was so rude to us. Earle of Sandwich Pub is conveniently located, resembling a biker bar more than a traditional British pub. The interior features dark wood decor and stained glass hanging lamps over the tables, creating a cozy pub atmosphere. The music is classic rock played at the perfect volume, enhancing the unique vibe of the place. The pub offers good pub food, including a tasty roast beef sandwich and the French dip, which has been described as delicious. Special dishes like the pulled pork sandwich and the Earl Sandwich with macaroni salad have also received high praise. Servers are friendly and attentive, making guests feel welcomed. The pub is a great stop for lunch or dinner, especially for those looking to enjoy good food and cold beer. Despite some odd vibes and specific payment rules that may feel strange to non-locals, it remains a spot worth trying at least once. Overall, it’s a nice place with a friendly environment and delicious meals, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the history.
