Sweet Cane Bar and Grille Reviews
The fried green tomatoes were very good. I enjoyed the she-crab soup, although the mushroom soup of the day was tasty but a bit salty. Of note, the soups are large bowls, so be careful if you just want a taste treat before your entree. The blackened mahi mahi with basil risotto & mango salsa and plantains was also a sizable portion. While tasty, is was a bit too much pureed sauce that overwhelmed the flavors. Overall, the service was good. Howie was attentive and friendly.
Stopped by the poolside spot at Sweet Cane Bar and Grille at the Sonesta Resort, and it’s exactly what you want in a vacation bar—laid-back and dangerously easy to settle into for a while.
The vibe is relaxed and easygoing, with plenty of spots to lounge by the pool or grab a quick bite between dips. It’s not trying to be fancy—and that’s the charm.

The physical restaurant is being built but you can grab a bite of food next to the pool. Their options are great and food/drinks are too!
