“"Shuk is a true hidden gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Savannah's more frequented dining spots. While its location may require a bit of navigation and patience to find parking, the absence of paid parking fees only adds to the allure of this culinary haven. As we stepped into Shuk, we were immediately struck by the luxurious ambiance that enveloped us, transporting us to a world of Mediterranean elegance and charm. Our journey to Shuk was prompted by a friend's recommendation, and from the moment we walked through the door, we knew we were in for a treat. The attentive staff welcomed us warmly, guiding us through the menu with expertise and enthusiasm. The restaurant's decor exuded sophistication, with plush furnishings and subtle lighting creating an inviting atmosphere that begged us to linger. Our meal began with the whipped feta, a divine creation that left us speechless with its creamy richness and subtle tang. For our main courses, I opted for the pita bread with falafel protein, while my wife chose the bowl with her choice of protein or falafel. Each dish was a work of art, meticulously prepared and bursting with vibrant flavors that danced on our palates. To complement our meal, we couldn't resist trying the harissa chili paste sauce on the side. The intense heat of the harissa was perfectly balanced by its deep, smoky undertones, adding a bold kick to our already delicious dishes. It quickly became clear that no visit to Shuk would be complete without sampling this tantalizing condiment. As we savored each bite and soaked in the luxurious ambiance, it became evident why Shuk is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates Mediterranean cuisine done right. Despite its secluded location, the journey to Shuk is well worth the effort, offering an unforgettable dining experience that lingers in the memory long after the last bite has been savored. We left Shuk feeling nourished, satisfied, and eager to return for another taste of its exquisite offerings."“

“Not an overrated tourist destination. The olde pink house is a must try during your trip to Savannah. Serving up southern classics the food is amazing.Starting off with the homemade cheddar sticks. That are crispy and delicious. We ordered the homemade pink lemonade which was light, refreshing and not too sweet. We decided to be adventurous and try the shrimp and grits sushi roll. It did not disappoint, savory and salty it was everything I needed. The strawberry arugula salad was nice and light. We were able to split in two and it was the perfect size.Max's friend chicken comes and half a chicken, but you're able to ask for pieces which is great. I got just the dark meat and it was the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. Perfectly crunchy and moist. The Mac and cheese had a nice oven baked top with a gooey center.“

“My partner and I went there for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The environment really shines after sunset with its candle lighting. The food was amazing, my favorite part of the dinner was the appetizer. We had the mussels which were savory and salty with a hit of spice at the end. Afterwards I had the curry while they had the ribeye. Both were delicious, the ribeye was tender and juicy while the curry was complex and warm. For desert we had the house made ice cream as well as a chocolate bark. The bark was not to my liking personally (I’m not a fan of bitter chocolates). The house made banana ice cream though was exquisite. Smooth, creamy ice cream with a strong taste of real banana.“

Whiskey 7

“Moodright’s In a place down yonder called Moodright’s, where dreams collide, Artists, motorcyclists, athletes side by side, For here, the lines blur between right and wrong, Yet still, the mood lingers, enchanting and strong. In this haven, talk and passions take flight, Colors dance on canvases, vibrant and bright, Motorcycles rev, engines hum with desire, Athletes push boundaries, fueling the fire. But it's not just the talents that hold this place, It's the spirit of camaraderie, a warm embrace, For conversations can mean nothing or all, Fleeting connections, yet they never truly fall. A pal you thought, yet not what they seem, The tapestry of relationships, twisted and gleam, But still, the ambiance feels just right, Where it doesn't matter if you're wrong or right. In a hazy corner outside, where whispers roam, A stranger found solace, far from his home. With a cigarette poised between his fingertips, He sought refuge from life's unyielding grip. Cigarette embers danced, casting shadows long, Illuminating tales of the weak and the strong. These revelations, passed through a veil of smoke, Forging an unlikely bond beneath midnight's cloak. A leather vest, adorned with symbols galore, A testament to the bonds they both wore. For in this realm where outsiders converge, A vest becomes armor, an investment to preserve. No judgment or scorn, just the comfort to share, In this ephemeral confine, devoid of despair. And as the melodies of a rad song ring, The stranger's beside you begin to sing. For in the tang of smoke and tales untold, Lies a sense of belonging that never grows old. So they spoke of dreams, of triumph and strife, Of love found and lost, of the battles of life. But as the cigarette dwindled, the night drew to close, The moments of solace, like fading prose. Yet the conversations they shared will forever survive, Like wisps of smoke, in memories they thrive. So remember, as you stride along, That stories untold have a place to belong. In the stranger's ear, secrets find their release, And in the hushed moments, connection finds peace.“

Smol Bar Bar • $$

“Smol is a unique bar in the Starland District. It is apart of Two Tides Brewing Company. They are located in the same building right downstairs across from Superbloom. You will see a Smol neon sign in the window by their door. Parking in this area is all on the street. Depending on the time of day it can be difficult. But the good news is that parking is free in the immediate area. The bar itself is small as the name suggests. But what it lacks in space it makes up for in character. You will find throwbacks from the eighties and nineties in the bar. Games which you are welcome to play on shelves. Also a tv with a VCR that they play movies on. There is a bar area with four bar stools. The additional seating is a banquette with small tables. It does not take much effort for the bar to fill with people. The bar shares a community bathroom. You will need to ask the bartender for the key. The drink menu is always interesting. I love the names. There are classics on the menu of course. And you can get beer on tap from Two Tides. Or if you want a Jell-O shot Smol has got you! I had the Not Tout Suite this time. It is described as the Bloody Mary's spicy sweet sister. It was a vibrant orange with a beautiful and spicy rim. I loved it! My only issue with the menu is that each drink needs more of a description. Most of the drinks do not have what ingredients are in them. As a local I love Smol, Two Tides, & Crispi! I return again and again to them all.“

“Nicely sized bar frequented by many locals. 3 Valley Billiards tables, a giant projector TV for ball games, dartboards, etc. Friendly staff. Full selection of adult beverages and reasonably priced. Pretty good barbecue trailer in the parking lot. Bring some in.“

“Even if it's cold outside, you must get a frozen drink to slurp! Great mixed concoctions, but strong! Fun experience and way to tour the town and sightsee. Reasonably priced for the amount, recommend samples to figure out what you like first!“
