If you're coming to Savannah, Planters Tavern is a MUST. Downstairs in The Olde Pink House, it has a vintage speakeasy/ old Tavern vibe but is cozy warm and inviting. Staff was fantastic and crafted cocktails superb, food is upscale and delicious. A 10 out of 10 for our late June '26 visit. We stayed next door at the Planters Inn, steps away.
We were really just going to take a picture of the Olde Pink House and found ourselves down at Planters Tavern. The atmosphere was like stepping into another world beneath the city. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and really enhanced the overall experience. The cheerwine sliders were amazing.
We stayed right next to the Pink House so came on a Sunday night around 6:30pm-ish and were seated by the piano right away. The place was dark but full of character - after all, this place is over 250 years old! We got 2 drinks each, 2 appetizers (shrimp and grits cake, and the pulled pork sliders) and a side (sweet potato fries). All were better than expected. Service was attentive but not too much. The Planters Tavern, located in the historic Olde Pink House, offers an exceptional dining experience with a warm atmosphere and attentive staff. The tavern is known for its delicious drinks, historic vibes, and private spaces like the Vault, a former bank vault that creates a unique and special dining occasion. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, making any delays right with outstanding service. Highly recommended for a memorable experience.
