“Our family had a great time. The food was wonderful. So many things we're done so well! Some outstanding dishes were the onion rings, Mac and cheese, salad, French dip and burgers! Love that the pool table was there! All our boys ( all three generations)had fun playing while waiting for the food once we ordered!“
“I hosted a 32 year Desert Storm reunion this weekend 9/8 & 9/9/2023 at this location. I am ecstatic to say the least in the performance of the entire staff! I met Charles and Dave the current and former post commanders and they were very professional and worked with me every step of the way. The bar & Kitchen staff were amazing in their duties Susan, Kiara, Gene, James, and Mike. Todd the canteen manager and his brother got everything food related priced affordable but also had all food out on time and ready to eat. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous and my original count of 42 grew to 48 in just one day with no excuses from the staff to accommodate the additional patrons. These men and their families served with me and put their lives on the line 32 years ago and I can't thank the VFW staff enough from all of us for giving us the pricing and working with us on timing. I could not have picked a better spot to hold my event and hope after reading this many of you will feel the same. Thanks you VFW post 660 Savannah Georgia for making a good event a perfect event!“
“We went to to the tavern at lunch for a pint of Guinness and a plate of nachos. We got a HUGE portion of delicious nachos served quickly by a real nice waitress ( by the way , gentlemen she is single) . We didn’t want to be nosy but it was on Valentine’s Day…“
“After dinner, we walked around and wanted to check out the Barrelhouse. In the basement area, there are a few pool tables and we enjoyed a few rounds of game. It got a little busy Tuesday night after 8 pm. As we headed up to the ground level, we saw a live band with awesome music and a few people are dancing and enjoying the chill ambience. We ordered a few more drinks and stayed till the band's last song at 11:30 pm. Really had a cool and fun experience at this bar.“
“The place was hopping. I stopped in to see if the batting cages were available, there was a wait as alot of people were present. My son and I got some wings and a soft drink as we waited. No fuss no muss. We live out here so I was happy our local business was busy.“
“The place is real nice first time going there about the money the money don't mean nothing to me but look at this little bit of food that they put on my trade for $15 and turn around and gave them a $10 tip I wish I would have looked in my plate before I bought it I could have went to checkers and got me a number one combo or a big Buford combo I would never buy food again from there“
“Normal priced drinks, no real complaints. The only thing weird was the music. Not sure if it was the night we stopped by (random Wednesday) but for "sound sensitive people" (you know that 1% of the world population) music was not played on speakers but instead on neon headsets. Never saw that before, so after a drink we left since we wanted to hear music but not on headphones.“
“For a dive bar, this place gets 5 stars. It was clean, had a decent atmosphere, the bartenders were very friendly, and there was a dj, a pool table, and plenty of parking. If you just want a beer or a stiff [insert liquor and mixer], a place to go on a blind date that isn't romantic, or if you want to have a drink out somewhere with your bf but don't want to be social (us) this place is perfect!This is NOT a place for "foodies" or "hipsters" or anyone that orders crazy flavored martinis. Go downtown. If you want good bourbon, classic cocktails, or muddled anything (ie gin fizz, Pimm's cup, mojito, mule) again, go downtown.But, we had a good time, it seemed like everyone else was having a good time, and a ranch water made with Rose's lime was surprisingly tasty.“
“Delicious food for a decent price. We drove out of our way on a trip to come here because we liked what the menu had listed, and it was worth it! It was a little loud inside, but we were still able to maintain conversation. The pretzel bites were the best app and I recommend mac and cheese for a side!“
“The female manager (embarrassed not to remember her name) was awesome! Also the bartender Ivory was excellent! Could have stayed all night but they closed earlier than other bars. Hopefully hours will change because they could make so much more!“
