“With all the great reviews, we decided to celebrate our birthdays here. We made reservations, so that was not the problem. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was good. When we were finished with our dinner, I went to the restroom planning on ordering dessert when I returned. However, upon my return, my family was getting ready to leave. It seems Elaine had told them that she needed our table for the next guests! We hadn't even been given our check! The table beside us was full with the same people who were seated there when we arrived! The waitress came back and asked us if we wanted dessert! I told her "Apparently Not", but we do need our check! NEVER have I been told "times up!" We will NOT be back!“
“What you would expect from a small, local, BBQ place. You order food at the counter and they bring it to your table when it is ready. I had the pulled pork sandwich with pickle and chips and my wife ordered the chicken sandwich with potato salad. They offer four sauces tableside, sweet, mild, hot vinegar, and hot. I liked the vinegar sauce though I did not find it hot at all. Even the "hot" was not too spicy for me. The sandwich was huge, the meat was piled high. Pork was tender and had a nice smokey taste. Everything you want from BBQ. The dining area was small, picnic tables inside. We came at lunch time and the place filled up fast. They also do carry out.“
“This place not only has great food, but is perfect for large parties! Celebrated my mom's 75th birthday and we had over 60 people. The room was set up so nicely, the staff was so friendly and easy to work with and the service and food were both excellent. It is not easy to serve this many people and everything was fantastic. If you are having an event in Hinesville, Midway, or Richmond Hill I would recommend you use Captain Joe's in Midway.“
“On February 1, I treated myself to lunch at All Things Chocolate and More. On Ford Ave. In Richmond Hill, Ga.The welcoming display..as you enter the store..is enough to stop you in your tracks. All sorts of chocolate goodies laid out for your eyes to devour. The lunch menu interested me greatly. I knew what I was getting before I entered the establishment. My favorite....chicken salad on a croissant with fries n sweet tea.I got to check out more goodies from the side of the display case. It would be very easy to spend ENTIRELY TOO MUCH MONEY here. Calm down....haLunch came. The croissant was still warm and it was stuffed with the chicken salad. Fries were out of the world. (Not sure how you do that as a fry....)A lovely woman named Kristin B. waited on me. She was very knowledgeable and friendly.I only got about 10 pieces of candy. I will definitely be back. For the delicious goodies and friendship.“
“The hotdogs were great. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were friendly. The only downside is that sesting is very, very limited. If you plan to have more than 2 people in your party and want to dine in, this may not be the place for you.“
“I'm a bbq junky and this place was Fantastic. I had the brisket sandwich which was so packed with meat that I had to eat it like 2 open faced sandwiches. They had 4 different sauces, mild, hot, sweet and spicy vinegar. I did a combination of spicy and sweet. For my side I picked mac and cheese and it was cheesy! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great lunch.“
“I came in late the first time. Hannah was my server. It was close to closing time so I ordered everything in to go boxes. They gave me my food fast. So fast that I was able to enjoy it in the location. She was always so pleasant keeping me informed of where she was going (I know it was closing so she was busy) overall a wonderful visit. I have been back 2 times now to get her name so i could leave a review, finally I got it. She is ? the reason I have returned and will return. Nice job Hannah. Thank you for 5 star service in the little town of Richmond Hill. I forgot to mention the food. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli slaw. It was amazing as well. Everything was absolutely perfect. Also the 5 spot margaritas are on point. I also really like they put the butter as a button on the salmon. so I can remove it. I do not like the high calories that most just automatically add. I order salmon to maintain the healthy aspect of it. Well done 5 spot. You have the people and the options available to please even the most picky customer.“
“Awesome place. Would have been all 5's but when the band came in, it was obnoxiously loud. Could not hear myself think, couldn't hear the bartender or anyone else. Before the band got there it was the best place ever! I 'll go back but not when the band is there.“
“Walking in and the Dj playing 90s hip hop instantly made me dance happy. The dj did have a good mix of all genres.Took a while to get the bartender's attention, but it was pretty busy. Marg was on point. When ordering my food, the other bartender was super polite. Hot wings and fries came out hot and fresh. There are 2 pool tables and a few slot games. Smoking area right outside the door. So no smokey hair. Yay. When busy, expect to stand a bit.Pretty cool chill spot. I will be returning“
“Love their Sunday buffet.Updated review:Easter brunch, 2024Today most have been an "off day" for the restaurant. We were seated and I went on to the buffet, leaving my husband with my drink order. I came back to no drinks. My husband said several waitresses had passed by without acknowledging us. He went to the buffet and I had to flag down a waiter who I'm sure was not supposed to be taking care of our order but was so nice and polite and took our drink order. The girl that was supposed to be our waitress showed up about 10 minutes later to see if we needed anything. (A little late there, girlie)The food was disappointing, at best. The fried chicken was great, as usual, the green beans were also very good. The creamed corn had something hard in it that felt like I was cracking a tooth. This was not the creamed corn my grandmother used to make...odd taste.I tried some kind of potatoes..augratin maybe? They weren't bad, just bland. The London broil was stone cold and very rare, which usually I like my beef like that, but cold meat? No. My husband had the scrambled eggs that had other ingredients in it, which he just could not eat due to the flavor and consistency. He was so very excited to find Lox, but no bagels!! The breakfast potatoes were good. He said the grilled veggies were ok..The salad and dessert bar is located in an odd spot, which made it difficult to maneuver in and out of. The salad bar had empty ingredient bowls so I just didn't bother. Dessert: my husband had the apple pie, which was good. Now, being a Georgia girl, I'm a sucker for banana pudding. There were maybe 4 banana slices and no wafers. ( my grandmother just rolled over in her grave). We usually have had good experiences there and will try again..maybe not on a holiday..may be looking at other options. This was not our first holiday meal there and hopefully not our last.“
“Have been here quite often in the past few months. The sandwiches are very good. Have tried almost everything on the menu. The salads are huge. Service is excellent. You order at a counter and they bring the food to you. Even at busy lunchtimes, your food is delivered pretty promptly. Inside setting is available. Prices are reasonable. Even when crowded, you don't need to shout to be heard.“
“Came from the Caribbean to visit my family wanted to take them out for dinner when we came in the host was very polite and friendly was seated fast for them to be short staff they were Quick and precise with our order would recommend to anyone clean and friendly environment. ?“
“My husband and I moved to Midway in December, and there isn't a whole lot to do here but this café has the best food!! The pizza is AWESOME!!!!! I really enjoy this small, quite, quante, little town and this restaurant!!! Check it out!!“
