El Maguey is the best Mexican restaurant in Statesboro!! I love how it looks in here. The food is amazing, the service is fast, the staff is friendly and the mango margarita is the best margarita I’ve had. I would come here everyday if I could.

Diego was our server and was great! Between him and other staff, we never had to ask for refills on our drinks or chips. Everything was delicious!

My husband and I had lunch here and it was delicious. The establishment was clean and the waitress was friendly. I had the Texas fajita chimichanga & the plate presentation was awesome as well. We will definitely return.

Wanted just to get some bean dip and salsa to go. The young lady was not very friendly and acted as if I was a bother. The black bean dip was very salty and soupy. The decor was very colorful except for some paintings that I found not in good taste. I haven’t done a sit down meal . All the reviews are 5 stars maybe because of the food. I appreciate good food AND good service. Just from this experience, I don’t think I will go back .

About the only good thing about this place was the owner or manager, not sure which he was. But they only had two people waiting tables and both acted like they didn't want to be there. The guy was busy flirting with another table, we never got drink refills or anything and the girl seemed stretched thin. The food had 0 seasoning and the vegetables were huge! Salsa was good though. Oh and the seating is awful in this place! You are sitting on top of each other it seems. And the desk where you go to be seated is in the back of the restaurant. I doubt we will be back!

I catered our party with a taco bar and a fajita bar! Food was excellent, hot and ready on time. Plus the price was right!!
