I just went to a doctor's appointment and smelled someone's lunch in the lounge... immediately I wanted BBQ with all my heart! I went over to Shane's since it was close by, but honestly I wish I hadn't. I ordered a plate of BBQ chicken with mac and cheese and baked beans. There were no green beans or collards on the menu behind the server, otherwise I would have chosen a veggie. The chicken and mac were okay, kind of reminiscent of food you'd get at a hospital with a pretty good kitchen. The baked beans were, very unfortunately, spiced strangely. I LOVE baked beans and get them any time I have BBQ, but I couldn't finish these (and that's saying a lot). I even tried adding barbeque sauce to drown out whatever flavor was unpleasant, but I couldn't make it go away. After tip, I paid just over $18 for a lunch that was fairly disappointing. I feel like there are much, much better BBQ restaurants in Bulloch county for the same price. The interior was cute and clean, though, and the server was friendly!

Took family here because the one in our town closed and for good reason. This location use to be good but they’ve gone down. We travelled home over an hour and I called back about my food. The chop pork was terrible, dry, hard dried up pieces from not maintaining moisture, clumped up, and not fresh at all. The absolute worse! Do not recommend as standards have diminished.
Love Shane's everything is good. The crew is the best.

Buyer beware. The Shane’s in Statesboro Georgia thinks nothing of ripping people off. Their buns are advertised as .25 cents for one bun. However if you order a pack of buns it’s listed as $3.00 a pack. This implies that you get more than 4 buns for a pack. However a pack is 4 buns. So $1 if you order 4. Was told by the manager there that the store manager Micah was aware of the price problem but would not address the problem because that was their policy.

I see they have a recent grand reopening. But they must’ve changed the food quality or the vendors. I’ve never eaten here and not enjoyed the food for years and years, but today both my kids couldn’t even eat their meals bc it was sooo salty. I tasted it and the cheeseburger meal and the chicken fingers were so salty you couldn’t even taste the food. So 2 meals and $$$ wasted.
