This was our first time at an Uncle Shugs. The restaurant was clean nothing fancy. I don't think I would do back. The ribs were ok. Not as tender and flavorful as I expected. The sauces were good and on the table so you can try them all. The fries were ok but over salted. The mac and cheese was good, not creamy.

This is OK. The BBQ itself is good. What got to me was the sauce - it’s all a bit spicy - they should offer the vinegar and a traditional sauce not as spicy On the other hand if you like spicy - this is your place

I stopped by here because it was the closest restaurant to our hotel. The half chicken is the best bbq chicken I’ve had in a while. It was very nice. Will recommend.

Was really unimpressed and mad I wasted money there. The fries were cold and hard, the bbq sauce was not so great IMO, the green beans had no seasoning and the Mac & cheese was dry and had almost no cheese. We also got chicken tenders and they were mediocre, the breading wasn't great. Wont be back.

First time here and Very, very impressed. All the food was delicious, good size servings, fast and courteous service. We drove here from Savannah and definitely will be coming back.

We love being abnle to zip around the corner to get for our lunch or dinner chopped pork and chicken fingers which we know will be better than anything similar that could cook at home.

I love the new look of the restaurant and the fries were so good I bought the seasoning to bring home. They recently catered a thanksgiving meal we had for some college students and it was delicious. Great job and I'll be back.

The new Uncle Shug’s on Main Street: They have revamped the old RJ’s and it is really nice inside and out. The staff is very friendly. We got brisket, smoked chicken, pulled BBQ and chicken fingers. The meat was good. Not a big fan of any of their sauces. We also got collard greens. They tasted good until the plethora of hot sauce kicked in. They really weren’t edible. Overall, we liked the place but wouldn’t order the collards and would probably bring our own sauce.
Great visit on their third day of being open. They've done a great job with the space and the food is superb, to match. Front porch seating along with a spacious dining room.

This is the third time I have went through the Drive thru and have been given the wrong order. It is not convienent when you bring it back to the office and its the wrong order. Love there food and tenders but I will never be going through the drive thru again. I guess its on me to check my order before pulling out but hey 3 times you figure it wont happen again!

I don't know if it's the area but it seems that everywhere we go the food is almost warm. The coleslaw was nasty. Not going back.

Finally an opportunity to eat at Uncle Shugs and had researched today’s menu which was supposed to have liver and onions—my husband’s favorite. Reminded us of the old RJ’s when we walked in, but then disappointment. Yesterday was liver and onions, although it shows on Thursdays’ menu. We opted for the chicken tenders which were good and plentiful, however the sides didn’t look great and were so so. Probably wouldn’t go back although the staff was very polite.
