Business used to be family owned and the food was amazing. Apparently, it is under new management but is still under the same business name that it has always had. Very disappointed 😞 I will not return.

The food is delicious. I felt they gave more than what I ordered.

The BEST bar-b-q EVER!!! I’ve been wanting more since first try 9 years ago (Boston is a long way away), and WOWZA! Even better than before. Very grateful πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ˜‹

Vandys bbq and smoked chicken is awesome. The Brunswick stew needs help. It's definitely not the old recipe. I like the small town restaurant vibe.

I really miss the childhood taste. But, good to see it's still open.

Vandys is a little spot off vine st, but now, a big spot in my belly. Walking through the parking lot, the smell hits you immediately from the put smoker, and your mouth begins to water. All of the staff are super friendly and the place is rather clean. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with some coleslaw, and my daughter had the half pit smoked chicken with some fries and the mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection. The food came out quickly. Also, the prices were perfect. Two dinners for 28 dollars.
I am happy with my experience at Vandys.

We ordered a whole chicken, pint of stew and a loaf of bread to go and paid $22.00. We got home in Sylvania and had a 1/2 BURNT chicken. There is no way to eat this. The stew is good but there goes our supper.

Agree with earlier post. BBQ, Brunswick Stew and the sauce have all changed and not for the better. We were excited to hear it was open again, but now very disappointed. Don’t think we’ll be back.

I've been eating Vandy's well over 30 years. I was hoping only the building was getting an overhaul but sadly, that's not the case. The building renovations looks nice, but the new recipes are a flop. The chopped pork did not have that pit cooked taste. It was very greasy and tasted like it was cooked in the oven. The bbq sauce is different and tasted horrible. The sliced bread was hard. The brunswick stew tasted more like vegetable soup. Everything tasted more Commercialized instead of that down home taste.

I stopped by today to get 2 lbs of BBQ which was great and a quart of Potato salad which I have had before but it was fixed differently than before did not care for that recipe, it was not good and did not taste like the old recipe. Please go back to the old way, it was so much better . Thank you
