Went to Granny’s Soul Food today, it was my first time and I was quite disappointed in the food overall. The quantity of the food didn’t match the price and the baked turkey wings were very bland, they literally had no taste. The Mac and cheese was good and the yams were okay, very sweet and were mush for the most part. The food wasn’t very flavorful.
This restaurant surprised me! Literally everything I ordered was delicious (and that's rare) and it definitely tasted like home cooking, like a lot of love was put into it! The lady behind the counter was also very friendly and accommodating!
The food was cooked well, the collards lacked seasoning and the peach cobbler was underwhelming. 5 slices of peaches and a lot of crust. Beef tips were seasoned but dry. The lady working was a sweetheart. Would give another shot.
