Great Breakfast, and lunch, good breakfast prices, and it is all local southern home style cooking. Great Biscuits and gravy, Sausage and fried egg sandwich on toast with mayo. Bacon, eggs fried baloney, all cooked to order when you order, nothing sitting in a trey just waiting to be placed on a plate.

Good food, great people and good produce!
Well to sum it up....Meh. The building décor on the outside is kind of cool. Inside is completely covered with what I would assume are pictures of Veterans. I understand what your going for but its a little over the top. It you wish to continue to honor veterans put a plaque on one of the walls and add name plates instead of 100's of pictures staring down on you as you eat. Appetizer was mushrooms. Really good, in fact best part of the meal. Others order a cheesesteak, two order the country fried steak, I had the 1/2 pound burger. All the veggies were frozen or came straight out of a can. The burger was interesting. It came with two paddies. The bottom paddie was a decent size, the top paddie was more Krystal like. It made for interesting eating. There was much more bun then meat. Went with the burger due to the big sign in the front, stating "Voted Best Burger." Well not sure where this vote came from but by far not even close to the best burger I have had. So were in a little country restaurant they have to have homemade desserts, right? Yeah not so much. We order a brownie and a cookie. Both came in cellophane and both clearly store bought which was confirmed by the waitress. You know its a shame. With a few tweaks this place could rock. So would I hit it again, probably not.
Love this place they have the best home-cooked food around, you can't get it any better there Biscuits are the bomb we stop every morning and get one.

Truthfully stumbled on this place in travelling from Rome/Ringgold. With a work history in aviation, I had to stop when I saw the airplane on the pole. It only became that much more amazing when we got to meet with Sam and listen to his stories about Nam and his respect for all persons who have served in the military. This guy is the epitome of military reverence and entrepreneurship. If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to stop by aeat and chat with Sam. It literally made my day and yes he was kind enough to take our pics and post them on the wall. God bless you Sam, hope you make a zillion bucks.
Hand's down the best breakfast around!!

Traveling through Rome and stopped for dinner at Sam’s. This place lived up to the sign! BEST burgers in town!!! And the onion rings were spectacular! Homemade and very flavorful. We will definitely be back.
Must have got there at lunchtime. Bought a jar of honey and a brownie. They were busy so I waited about three or four minutes to pay. Was charged extra because I used my debit card. Wasn’t even offered a receipt. Don’t understand that.?
