Some of the best tonkatsu I've had outside of Japan/S. Korea. It was all very comforting and chill. This is hands down some of the best food in the greater Atlanta area.

The guy behind the counter is professional. My boyfriend & I have been here twice. Food is amazinggg. I love the tonkastu with the spicy rice cakes!! My favorite and the takoyaki is delicious as well (:

I ordered the pork cutlet today, but it was extremely tough and hard to chew — it even hurt the roof of my mouth. It used to be very tender and delicious, but this time the texture was completely different. I’m wondering if there’s been a change in ownership or cooking method. I just wanted to share some honest feedback and hope things can improve.

I placed a to-go order at Gitayaya, but they kept telling me to wait. While I was standing there, a staff member gave me a bag, but I had ordered four items and there was only one in the bag. I told them it wasn’t mine. Despite this, the woman who seemed to be the owner, wearing a pink hat, kept speaking to me in a very rude and unpleasant tone, just telling me to wait over and over again. I was already waiting, and it didn’t make sense to keep saying that. Their attitude was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. I was very disappointed and offended by the poor service. Sadly, this confirmed the stereotype that Korean service can be unkind, and I don’t want to return. Terrible service.

Food is mid, but the worker chased us from the store, immediately assuming without asking, that we had left a mess at the table when it was the table behind us. She came out and first thing she said was come clean it.
