Thompson's Cove Restaurant

Thompson's Cove was established in 1986. It has been a long time since we last visited this restaurant, and after coming back I'm wondering why it took us so long.

Everything was excellent. I ordered the seafood platter which consisted of fish, oysters, shrimp, scallops, devil crab with hushpuppies and two sides. My wife ordered catfish fillet. It was all so good.

The service! Let me tell you about the staff. They make darn sure that you are being taken care of. We were frequently asked by numerous staff members if we had everything we needed. Service couldn't have been better. A large pitcher of water or tea was placed on the table along with a bucket of ice. For someone like me that frequently empties my glass this was heavenly.

The view of the lake while you are dining is something else. It is beautiful.

It is well worth the trip out to this restaurant to dine. I can promise you this. I will be back soon.

First time visiting. I took wifey, neighbor and FIL and MIL. Dinner and service was excellent, no complaints here. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great eve.

Great food!!!!!

It has been a while since eating at Thompson’s Cove! The food was good, but we decided it was no longer worth the drive! We had not been there in over a year. We went last night, IT WAS AMAZING! The best Devil Crab I have ever eaten, hush puppies light as a feather, shrimp was wonderful and the most delicious Cole slaw I have ever eating! I am so glad we returned to try it again! Well worth the drive if it was twice as far! We told the owners, it was better than we remembered and they said they had worked really hard to make the food better! WOW, did they ever! I am thinking this will be an every weekend trip, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Best meal I’ve had in a long time! Each item was as good as the next! The hush puppies come straight from Above and the catfish was perfect! Excellent coleslaw, shrimp fried to perfection, scrumptious deviled crab; you gotta go to Thompson’s Cove!

We try to visit at least once a month... The food is really good, the service is great , and the business is family owned and operated. They make us feel very welcomed every time we are there.. let the kids feed the fish and turtles...

Didn't know about this whole catfish place till now. Crab bites mostly crust. Catfish not overdone nor to greasy. Hard to find good fried catfish around these parts so nice find.

the hush puppies are to die for

We love eating here! The food is always great. Going out on the deck to get a closer look at the pond is always a nice after dinner activity. And yiu just might spot lots of 🐢's. If you like fried catfish , this is a must visit spot.

Parking: If you need to park closer ther is a side entrance. Just drive to the right of the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. We have been going here since our little one was tiny.

We love going to Thompson’s Cove best seafood around good hamburger steak with gravy friendly people and great customer service.
