I maybe biased but Guthries has the absolute best chicken. Its fresh never frozen. It's bathed in milk bath and hand breaded. They take the time to make sure the chicken goes into the fryer just right so it doesn't feather the flour. Don't even get me started on the sauce. I sure have missed good chicken in Ringgold.
We stopped in for lunch. We ordered the box with the Guthrie sauce. The chicken tenders are seasoned beautifully, but the chicken tenders themselves are small. They could be juicer and larger for the price. The number of fries we got was very small as well. I asked for everything to be made fresh, but the chicken tenders weren't piping hot how I like them. The tenders were just warm. Right out of the fryer is how I wanted them, and I didn't get that even after asking....
We were pleasantly surprised by the speed of the service and freshness of the food. Plus, the restrooms were lean as well as the dining area. We had one small issue with our food which was promptly corrected and they even gVe us some extra chicken strips for the error. The manager was super helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back when we travel back through!
