A cheese burger isn't that hard. However it was horrible. Oysters were decent. Not the Bernie's that I remember eating downtown. Never again, everything was mediocre at best.

Food was excellent. Grilled salmon, out of this world. Shrimp Po boy sandwich, delicious.Remember it is a BAR an grill. Would not recommend for small children just because of bar. Ppl was very nice an curious to the small children eating but not witnessed in full swing happy hour. Use caution. Waitress stood her ground from unwanted advancement from a customer. She shot his advancements down cold! Nicely but firmly. Way to go girly. Very professional! Need more waiting staff beside one running entire facility. Eventually help did come but she had already serviced 90% of customers herself.

Massive oysters here that were very good n clean. The place was packed and the bartender was hustling and skilfully managed serving drinks and food to about 40 people in the bar. There were kids crying people spilling and this young man crushed it. Also got some chicken wings, a salad and a Bernies blonde ale that were all good as well.

Very Disappointing. Seafood was not good! Oysters were ok. Ordered the Captains Platter at $45 and was very disappointed! Chicken wings were pale looking and that is not appetizing! Service was acceptable.

My guy and I have been coming here for a few years. We always get 2 - 3 doz steamed oysters and a basket of tots. Came in today for his birthday and NO DAMN TOTS on the menu now! Highly disappointed!!! Those tots were spot on!!

In the middle of Menu my favorites are gone and the soup was salty and shrimp corn chowder had a tablespoon of corn and three overcooked small shrimp. My Husband loved his salmon BLT.

Went in for a quick bite. Told to sit anywhere from the bartender/server. Choose to sit at the bar. Asked what we wanted to drink. Both got sweet teas. Bartender looked a little annoyed. Asked if we were ready to order. We said not yet. Decided what we wanted and laid down the menus and she preceded to just ignore us for 5-8 minutes (she was not busy) just made small talk with others at the bar, walked by us several times then finally took our orders, brought us our food and never asked us if we wanted anything else. I guess because we were sitting at the bar she expected us to be ordering alcohol. We got the nachos…they were okay

Wtaf- my friend and I went to go eat there for dinner at 5:30pm. They don't close until 8:00pm and the kitchen was closed 2.5 hours before actual closing? What kind of place does that?? That's so messed up. Don't recommend because if they can't bother keeping the kitchen open until close then they might as well not be open at all. I'd understand closing it maybe 30 minutes until close but 2 and a half hours? Absolutely ridiculous.

I had a cheeseburger and my husband had the fried oyster po'boy. He said his was good. He had a beer and I had a Lynchburg Lemonade which was fine.

Enjoy some classic beachside comfort food to satisfy your appetite after a long day in the sun. I sampled their steamed oysters and fried shrimp platter. The staff was notably friendly and the ambiance was filled conversations from locals and those visiting Tybee.

A great experience eating at Bernie's right after we left the beach! The Fried Fish Po'Boy and Hush Puppies are a must.
