It was just ok. No big wow in the flavor or anything and it was very expensive for what you got. We got 3 Baja fish tacos, 4 shrimp tacos and 3 carne asada and chips with queso. My husband got a drink and my son got a lemonade. It was $75. That's a lot for some plain tacos. Tiny bit of cabbage in a corn tortilla. All and all the whole family gave it a 6 out of 10 and my 14 year old said he wouldn't go back if there were other options.

The tacos were good, but definitely not great. Certainly not worth $5 to $9 each. The margaritas were also good, but not great. If I pay over $13 for a small glass of mostly ice, it better be amazing. It was not.

I would rate Chamacos a 4.5. I felt four was too low and had to choose 4 or 5 stars. This a super casual no frills spot, order at the bar then they being you the food and drinks. We tried the Barbocoa, shrimp, Baja fish and carne asada. They were all good, the barbocoa, shrimp and Baja fish were the best of the bunch. The carne asada could have used a little more flavor. The elotes in a cup were excellent. The margarita was good but not great. Definitely worth a stop if your in the mood for tacos

We were very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best and we spent almost $90 on 4 tacos, 2 Margheritas, and a tacito. The cost to food quality ratio was grossly disproportionate. Skip it! There are a lot more great mom and pops with excellent food that better deserve your money. Grossly disappointed!

Tacos remind us of the food in San Diego! Each one was excellent.

I gave it 2 stars, 1 for the service and 1 for the atmosphere. I got the empanadas which were definitely overpriced, they were tiny bite size, but did taste good, the elote corn had no flavor and extremely overpriced, it had just the bare minimum amount of white sauce and cojita cheese and it was only 4 bites for $6, the chicken quesadilla was ok but not sure where the rest of it went, and the barbacoa tostada was COLD and also tasted just ok.Definitely will not go back.

Good food and friendly service. The tacos were delicious and the classic margarita had the perfect amount of tartness.

Chamaco’s is the best place on the island to get tacos!! Definitely recommend anything with their muerte sauce! Super spicy…. But so flavorful. Brittney and Chris are the owners and they’re amazing!!

This place has the best Mexican food around. The tacos are perfect. We also ordered churros to go so we could have them with our very night ice cream...perfect. Our wait staff was very attentive to us. We will certainly go back there before we leave from our stay on Tybee Island. Highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

Great atmosphere and service, but the food was awful. Lacked seasoning/flavor. The meat tasted like it was just taken out from the freezer and placed in the microwave. Bland tacos missing fresh toppings. Drinks were bad as well.
