How did I forget to leave a review?! 3 visits in 4 days! Booking our annual trip to tybee tonight I went here to trip advisor to see if there were any new "must try" dining choices added over the past year. And my thoughts took me right back to Geralds! Cold beer, awesome fresh food, great service. I don't doubt that we will be over at least once a day to hanker our cravings!

Amazing food! Honestly the best hush puppies I've ever had in my entire life. The barbeque and shrimp is par none, and the atmosphere is so pleasant, it makes you feel like you're at home, if home was on an island. However, the crowning jewel of this lovely establishment is the hot sauce, called Tybee Sauce. This mango habanero recipe known only to Gerald is unlike any other, probably the best I've ever had. It's worth coming down just for this.

Had the Shrimp Dinner for lunch today and it was delicious! Shrimp and sides all hot and fresh. Try the cucumber salad, really good. Jenny took great care and was very friendly. Gearld was also there and was friendly as well. Going back for the brisket!!

We both ordered the shrimp and pulled pork dinners. Outstanding , fresh shrimp and oh-so-tender pork! The true southern collard greens and cucumber salad were perfect. This is a small, outdoor eatery, with charm galore. Want to sit a while and relax, you can’t do better than Gerald’s. The restrooms were clean too, always a plus.

We were there April 4th-14th and they were never opened. We were looking forward to try it because it was within walking distance of the Bay View Villas where we were staying, but, no luck.

What can I say, but we loved it! Great food, fun music, a wonderful atmosphere, and the perfect stop for a good meal.When we arrived, the incredible staff told us the wait was currently 45 mins. We considered leaving, but they then told us why. They were short staffed. They were trying their best to keep up, but simply didn't have the staff. Which was for multiple reasons I won't get into, but suffice it to say it wasn't their fault.With all of the difficulties now a days for business owners, staffing has to be one of the biggest. This wonderful owner was trying to do their best to stay open on a day when it was next to impossible.It was obvious they were going to close up early because the few people working (many long hours already) were pushed to their limits. Not to mention, the weather and wind quickly turned cold.We actually told them we didn't want to be a burden, and they insisted we stay. Yes, we were paying them for the meal, but they were maxed out. Overall we were impressed that they remained cheerful, continued to serve us, and the other customers, kept there live music going.... and did so on a day they were overworked while the weather quickly turned quite cold.Very impressed! Worth your visit, you won't be disappointed.

Drove up and it was closed! Quite disappointing to say the least. Please correct the website if circumstances change.

We recently hired Gerald's Pig & Shrimp to cater an Oyster Roast for our Rotary club (RCSE) -- they did an AMAZING job! Not only was the food delicious and the oysters extraordinarily fresh, but it was reasonably priced and the team delivered exactly what was promised. Gerald and his entire team were incredibly professional and really went the extra mile to ensure that everyone at our event had a wonderful time and that there was plenty of food for all of our guests. We will definitely hire them again!!

We went to Tybee Island for the day when visiting Savannah Ga. While we were there we ate lunch at here. It was delicious. The atmosphere was great. It had that beach open air feel. The restaurant is basically you see what you get with delicious beach food. Their Mango Hot Sauce was HOT but also has a delicious flavor. It was so good we bought some to bring home with us. We would highly recommend this place to eat at.

We had some of the best fried shrimp and hush puppies we have ever had. Cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and came by our table several times to make sure we were happy. We will definitely go back.

Went to Gerald's Pig and Shrimp on Tybee island last weekend. Very busy. and like resteraunt, short handed. We were told it may be a longer than usual wait but said we could grab a table and the wait person offered us a drink while we waited. Sooner than expected the server took out ordered again apologizing for the wait. ( much quicker than had expected and done with a great attitude. I had the shrimp and my wife had oysters. Both of them were cooked to perfection! We would recommend Gerald to everyone for friendly service and excellent food. Also very cold beer!

No thanks!!! We did not even get to eat here. We arrived early and were turned away because they open at 11:30. We were just going to get a coffee next door. We came back and stepped out of our car at 11:26 and were told again “we don’t open until 11:30”. It was 11:26! Can we stand outside in the sun rather than sitting in our car?? Too many other options than a place with an angry waitress who was outside smoking a cigarette. Hope she was just having a bad day and isn’t like every day. If so, I’d suggest replacement.
