I would never recommend The Sandbar, especially for women. This place does not feel safe at all. The staff makes no effort to step in when patrons cross the line — in fact, it felt like they were more interested in encouraging drunk behavior than keeping the atmosphere respectful. When I felt uncomfortable, instead of support, I was dismissed and even shamed, while the men causing the issue were allowed to keep going. No bar should make women feel like the problem when they’re being harassed. Absolutely unacceptable.

Perfect Dive Bar! Sand Bar is unassuming, unpretentious, and a lot of fun. Open Mic, pool, etc. just what you want from a laidback bar. Not for the Martini crowd.
Bartender denied me and my 23-year-old friends on a bachelorette trip. She needs to be fired for her lack of service and respect, She was racist and homophobic. Told us to leave without any explanation. How is a tourist town not welcoming to new people. Seems like the joint is meant for regulars and if ur not one of them then you are not welcome. Would give this place negative stars if I could. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE VISITING.

Terrible. There were used ashtrays on the tables. There was also a guy sitting at the bar clearly high or drunk. H could barely keep his eyes open. They were also out of all draft beer. It was as 6 on a Monday. It's very dark with blackout curtains closed. Couldn't wait to leave.
