Obnoxiously Delicious!!!! We entered and were greeted with "Welcome to the Family!" Our server was also the bar tender and the customer service was fantastic! Our "family" member recommended tasty adult beverages and appetizers. The food was awesome. Fall off the bone oxtail, dirty turkey leg, mac n cheese just to name a few because we had to take leftovers as well as order another plate and dessert to go. We live in the Atlanta area but will definitely be back on a Sunday or Thursday (oxtail days) for yummy Big Nick's Juke Joint.

I went to Big Nick's for lunch today. I ordered the stuffed turkey leg with shrimp and chicken. It was enormous. You definitely get your money's worth. Most importantly the food is delicious and the service is 5 Star.

Big Nicks consistently has the best wings in the southeast. Plus at least 75% of the time he is there, himself, thanking you for coming in and seeing if you need anything. Five stars without a doubt. Lemon pepper twist for the win!!

One of the best places I have been too.. we were traveling out of Town and decided to stop in, and let me just say I will be driving back just to dine here again. I love the atmosphere and the food was amazing .. if I could give them an extra star I would.. one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to!! If you’re in town it’s a must try!!!

We were so excited to check out this restaurant. Big mistake. Folks that came in way after us were eating for at least 20 minutes when we finally got ONE meal. The second meal arrived about 10 minutes later. My cornbread was heated up in the microwave and it was like trying to eat rubber. Bartender never asked us how our food was and I flagged her down to say the cornbread was microwaved and awful. They brought me another piece that was equally as bad. What a waste of our hard earned money!

Whoever the girl is that picks up the phone at Big Nicks needs to work on her customer service or find another job.

Our family visited the new spot last night to show our support of such an awesome community partner. We ❤️ Big Nick's too! It was such a warn atmosphere. Hearing by a couple of staff members, "Welcome to the Family." The food was excellent and we were entertained by the VSU coaches live podcast as well! Thank you for a much needed nice night out! 😘

Outstanding! All the staff and the owner Big Nick are incredible. You can tell the pride they take in this establishment. Very welcoming and every bit of the menu is excellent. I can’t say enough.

1st off, I'm MAD....big MAD....bc I won't be able to visit this place on the regular. It is SOOOOO hard to find a good bbq/food place these days. And here lies a phenomenal eatery, no joke. Have you ever been to a bbq that actually has good sides???? I know, no. But this place hits....so why are you still reading??? Go get it, fr....

Born and raised in Valdosta. Came home for the Valdosta State versus Albany State football game. I was told to go to Big Nick's afterward because they were doing a grand opening of his new Juke Joint. Walked in and was greeted by blaring loud music from a live band. The band sounded great but the music was so loud that to have a conversation I had to literally yell at the person sitting next to me. We walked in at about 10:20 and were seated within 5 minutes. After about a 7-minute wait our waitress came by and we gave her our food and drink order. It took about 10 minutes before we got our drinks. She was 100% honest and told us that they were only serving appetizers b/c they were running out of entrees. We were fine with that as we were not very hungry. Our waitress (Valisite) was amazing and kept checking on us. Around 11:20, she came and told us the food would be out shortly. And I told her to just bring it boxed to go. About 10 to 15 minutes later she brought out the wings for one of the four people that were sitting at our table. She said that she was still waiting for the rest of the food. I told her never mind, just disregard the rest of the food. It had been about 45 minutes or so since we put the order in. I paid her for the wings and all four members of my party gave her a big tip for her troubles and we left.
Grand opening or not, from what I understand from my family members who still live in Valdosta, Nick has owned a restaurant before so he should understand how important it is to have a properly staffed establishment with enough inventory to feed the customers. And when it comes to the music, he has to decide if he wants to have a club or a restaurant. I understand the concept of a juke joint, as I have been to many. Your voice should be slightly elevated. You should not have to yell to speak with someone who is less than 24 inches away from you.
I hope he gets everything worked out because the location is great and I can see the vision he has for the atmosphere. The menu looked great, the pricing was fair & the waitress was excited for us to taste the gator but the food ultimately never came.
I definitely will give it another shot the next time I come home. Maybe I'll make it home for the Winnersville classic!
