My family and I just moved to Valdosta from Southern California and really missed authentic Mexican dining. El Barrio didn’t look the part necessarily, but the food was amazing. Service wasn’t stellar but more then capable and very polite. We didn’t get chips and salsa as we waited for our food, we asked for some and got them, just was a little unusual.I would definitely recommend this place. Very good beans and rice. Quesadillas carne asada were great. And the chips and salsa turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the meal.

There are so many Mexican restaurants in Valdosta and I am glad that I stumbled across this one. The food and service is great! They even have a lunch buffet that is delicious and affordable.

Taco Tuesday treated us great. $1 street tacos. Great presentation with the food, complimentary chips and salsa. We've found the food in Valdosta needs a little bit of a salt boost to bring out some extra flavors. If not, the tacos definitely need some salsa, but might just be preference. Workers are always polite.

Great fresh salsa and really good cheese dip. Had 4 different tacos all very tasty.

Ordered 3 types of empanadas for delivery. All three were equally delicious. Best empanadas in town. Definitely didn't disappoint. Food was hot and fresh. Portions were great. Empanadas were large and full of meat. Will definitely be a continuous customer.

Ties in goodness with the El Paso which is saying something. ?
Excellent food and service. Consistent and always tasty. We try to visit regularly. I agree with the previous review that the street corn is great. The sopes are also excellent.

Outstanding authentic Mexican food. Everything was homemade and delicious. The pork tacos were divine and we could not get enough cheese dip. Our server was also great. He was very patient with our many requests and questions.
