Stopped on our way through from WI to FL. We are SO glad we did! We were greeted by very friendly staff & the space is so clean and quaint. We got a brown butter latte & vanilla bean latte along with the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. All were to die for. Sad we don’t live closer because we’d come back all of the time!

Great black to get a coffee or tea downtown. I ordered a chai latte and they took the time to make it the right way

I’ve had good experiences here before, which is why this visit was disappointing. I ordered a hot matcha latte, but it was prepared with water that was too hot, resulting in a very bitter aftertaste. I politely explained this to the barista and asked for a different drink, noting that matcha is sensitive to temperature (similar to how overcooked spinach becomes bitter). I’ve ordered matcha here before and have also worked as a barista, so I’m familiar with proper preparation.
Instead of offering to remake or replace the drink, I was met with confusion and was told I would need to pay for a second drink. I understand mistakes happen, but good customer service means trying to make it right when they do. I wasn’t looking for an apology or an explanation of why I was “wrong,” just a simple effort to do right by the customer.
I ended up ordering a regular latte, which was much better, though I was told, “I don’t know if that will be much better,” which felt unnecessary given that it clearly was. This feels less like a one-off mistake and more like a training or management issue, either around customer service expectations or understanding the differences between preparing matcha and espresso drinks.
I’ve had a wonderful barista here in the past, which makes this experience stand out even more. You don’t have to be overly friendly or outgoing, but customers shouldn’t feel blamed when a drink isn’t prepared correctly.

Best lattes and cappuccino around. Finally found me a coffee shop that serves a good cappuccino. Love the atmosphere of the shop as well. Skip the chain or drive-thru coffee shops and make the stop here and support a local business.

This place was really nice inside vibes were great I had ordered the smoked salmon bagel and it was really good The only thing I did not like about this place was after you place an order she said we will call you when it's ready me and my wife sat there for over 20 minutes wondering how much longer it would be so I finally got up to find out our coffee and food have been sitting on the counter the whole time and it wasn't just us that this happened to. Overall it was good!

Loved the atmosphere and the coffee was topnotch. Great place to hangout while visiting Valdosta. I had a pumpkin spice latte which was one of the best I had in long while.

GUD Coffee in Valdosta, Georgia is an absolute gem for coffee lovers! I ordered a triple shot of espresso with a splash of milk and it was AMAZING—rich, smooth, and energizing. When I mentioned I was visiting from Miami, Madison and Grayson, who were incredibly warm and hospitable, encouraged me to try their iced Cubano. WOW. The flavor was perfectly bold and sweet—this iced Cubano could go toe-for-toe against even the best Miami coffee shops. If you’re searching for excellent espresso, friendly service, and a vibrant local atmosphere, GUD Coffee is the top spot in Valdosta. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys quality specialty coffee and genuine Southern hospitality!

Nice and friendly staff. As it was my first visit, I asked for a recommendation on an iced coffee. And Liz recommended the Cubano. It was made perfectly. Thank you Liz. I will be back to try more of there variety of coffees.
