The room was clean, and very quiet. The only downside was there was a homeless woman at the breakfast area taking foods from all over the place. Is the first time I experienced this at a Hilton chain hotel, very disgusting
Location, location. They are under renovation. Beds are comfortables, quiet building. Lot of restaurants, gas stations and shopping plazas around there. Parking is free.
WAIT UNTIL RENO FINISHED
We had a great stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Valdosta. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, which made our stay easy and relaxing.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, and we really appreciated the great service. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a solid choice if you’re staying in the Valdosta area.
I figured the reviews mentioning the renovation from months ago meant it was completed. Our hallway was incomplete (no coverings on the wall?!) The carpet destroyed. You could feel soft spots on the floor like you would fall through into the floor below. The heat/ac thermostats from 1980s did not work and the room was dingy. Luckily we were only sleeping for a couple hours or we would have left. I will say the room was clean as best it could be with the wear and tear and rust on everything. The person at the desk was also pleasant. The best part at check out we noticed they have a sign saying they are starting repairs in SPRING 2025! Hilton should be ashamed of this property.
DEFINITELY not what I would expect from a Hilton property. Dated, in disrepair, and not clean.
After traveling 16 hours, we made reservations and checked in desperate for sleep. We crashed immediately, not noticing the issues and just collapsed into the super comfy bed (the only great part of the room). When we got up to shower, the light of day illuminated that this property was definitely not Hilton standards. The worst for me was the disgusting air filter.
I snapped a few pics and went to the desk to check out and make them aware of the issues. The front desk person was very pleasant. I wish she were the only person I spoke to. A man was behind the counter and felt the need to speak up when I showed her the filter pic. He started mansplaining how what I was seeing wasn’t dust and dirt, but insulation that cannot be cleaned. Then the general manager came out and offered that if I had told them last night, he could’ve done something, but since I didn’t, there was nothing he could do. I tried telling him we weren’t asking him to do anything, just trying to let him know about the issues before anyone else stayed in there. He blew me off and told the front desk person to give me a 50% refund. He clearly wasn’t interested in the issues and was more concerned with telling me what I should have done. Apparently, when a guest tells you about issues, they must only be angling for a refund. 🙄
Summary: Pro: comfy, clean bed. Con: dated, dirty, in disrepair, TERRIBLE customer service.
Not good at all, if you stay here be sure you are in a renovated room , we will not stay at this location again.
I got to stay here after a business trip in town. The staff were incredibly nice and the room was incredibly nice as well. It's very good place to stay if you're visiting Valdosta State University. You can hear a little bit people next doors but it's not anything as bad as you can expect normally. The bathroom is very nice and the products were decent. I didn't get to dry the breakfast but I like that it went very late. I believe it was open till 10:00a. Very good quality overall. I hope I get to stay here again soon if I work in town.
A friendly face and a nice attitude goes a long way. Yes, this place is going to renovations, but my room was good and comfortable. I felt safe here and the breakfast was tasty.
Under renovation.

The room was awful!
The bed had broken frame with parts of the metal frame twisted and jagged edge and when I went near it my lower leg got sliced open! I had to do to
Front desk to get peroxide and bandages as it was a deep cut and bleeding.
The toilet backed up there was no shampoo or conditioner in bathroom
no fan in bathroom
Rug was old and stained. The whole room smelled of dirty feet covered up by cheap stale air freshener. They said that they were renovating, but there were no signs of renovation anywhere
I won’t come back here ever. And it’s too bad because it’s a good location!
We stayed here last night while traveling to Florida and the hotel is going through renovations but my husband and I didn’t mind. Our room was nice the hallways not so much but it wasn’t an issue for us. We were very happy with our stay.
Room had busted AC. When we complained they made us wait an hour and still no one came to look at it. They agreed to move us to a different room but moved us to a smaller room and wouldn't refund the difference. The AC was leaking water and no one seemed to care. Wouldn't be surprised if mold was growing in the AC/Room. I would avoid this location as its a rip off and possible dangerous.
The are in the middle of doing a complete upgrade to this location. Should be nice, because it needs it.
Very nice and clean and priced well. I took one star off as it does not have that really important ventilating fan in the bathroom. I had to do three courtesy flushes, if you know what I mean.
