Hug In A Mug Coffee & Creamery

Service was slow. Coffee was hot and fresh. I was disappointed with the sugary syrup that was used to create the cafe mocha. I expected actual chocolate or chocolate powders to be used to make a mocha sauce in the coffee, instead a cheap imitation syrup is used and the experience is disappointing. The server at the drive through was blatant about wanting a tip and it was rude, aggressive and confrontational. Due to the poor quality of the coffee and rude service, I won’t be a return customer.

Don’t go. Wow. Disappointed. The bagels are not toasted or spread with cream cheese (cheap cup of cream cheese on the side, so diy), cinnamon roll was fridge temp (offered to toast, fr). Frozen hot chocolate tasted like cookies and cream, not chocolate, frozen chai tea tasted like nutmeg or allspice, def not chai. None of our 4 items were ready at the same time, and it was so awkwardly quiet inside with no music or ambiance.

From my personal experience, the place was nasty, every table was dirty and there was dog or cat hair on the tables and floor for some reason. I paid 70 cents for sprinkles on mine and my kids ice cream each but didn’t get any and I just didn’t like my coffee. I had a bad experience today as a first time customer unfortunately, I was hoping to like it.

I love this place and it’s the one close to my house but I don’t get why the open times keep changing. Closes at 1pm now I came at 1:17 and the sign was still on and they turned me away. You are gonna lose customers doing this.

I just went through the drive through and was instantly met with an attitude. Then, when I got my food which didn’t take long I found that the food was microwaved. I knew this because of the texture of the waffle. I’ve worked in the food industry myself. So I then asked for a refund and the same rude young lady lied to me and said Hug in a mug coffee and creamery doesn’t give refunds. Then her manger came and gave me the refund that the previous young lady said they didn’t offer. This restaurant’s atmosphere is extremely different from when they where located by publix. Also I usually don’t make food reviews but today, you can just call me Mr Karen because that was just poor service from the rude young lady.

The wife and I are big white mocha coffee drinkers and we’ve gone to most of the area coffee shops. So the Bemiss Hug a Mug was due a try. It was the worse coffee we’ve ever had. I don’t know why the taste was so different from all the others we’ve had but it ended up down the drain. I don’t recommend their white mocha

Dietary restrictions: Love that they have sugar free syrups for those of us who need less sugary options. My frozen cinnamon dolce drink was yummy!

I’ve been going to this Hug in a Mug for some time and have had great coffee and service. However, on my last visit I walked straight into what I was told was a baby shower. The store was packed. Mostly with young, very loud children. There were no vacant seats anywhere in the store. I was in line behind one other person but the noise was so bad I had to leave. I called to inquire why they would host such an event where people expect a calm atmosphere. The employee I spoke to was rather rude. I’m sorry, but you lost my business.

I stopped by Hug in a Mug to burn some time waiting for my daughter’s volleyball game five minutes away. Over the past few years I’ve taken up the habit of drinking coffee. Usually I keep it to Keurig or a handful of small establishments. I tend to like coffee with my flavor. So I ordered a mocha with heavy cream and a flavor or two. When I sat down and took a sip, I was blown away by how good the coffee actually was. It was one of the better cups that I have had. All that to say that I highly recommend Hug In a Mug Coffee. You should stop by. I know that I will the next time I am in the area.
