We chose your restaurant to have a family dinner based on ratings, but only to be left disappointed. We decided to order your 80 dollars deluxe sushi boat. We got 7 pieces of sushi and 7 pieces of sashimi the rest were sushi rolls (minimum fish) with extremely bad quality rice. Your love boat did not match the price we have paid for. We respectfully expressed our disappointment to our server not to get out of bill, but in hopes you would use our bad experience for your improvement. As a result, we were offered few pieces of sashimi, which first I declined as that wasn't my intention of complaining. However, our server insisted so we took the offer. Which made everything worse. The sashimi came frozen. It was still cold and icy, my daughters which is 8 & 14 refused to eat it. Im originally from Japan, and lived in NJ for few years. My favorite sushi place in Jersey (Mikado) we would pay 55 dollars for a sushi boat, and get at least 10 pieces of sushi, 20 pieces of sashimi, with sushi rolls. Our server Ms.Salvino (not sure of spelling) was pleasant. She handled the situation very well, and we truly appreciate making our experience tolerable. Overall, friendliness and service was good, but the food price/quality needs extensive improvements.

Only reason I'm giving this place a two star instead of 1 is because our waitress did everything she could to fix the problem. Decided to treat my family to a sushi dinner and found ourselves at this place. We ordered the love boat deluxe. Cost was 80 dollars, not worth the cost. We received the boat and was disappointed to find out that it consisted mostly of rolls. A ton of rice with little actual fish. Coming from New Jersey area and had lived in japan for a few years I can a attest this was not worth the 80 dollar menu price (maybe 55 dollars). Then when the waitress attempted to fix the problem by supplementing more fish into the boat the sushi chef who looked pretty upset about the situation had sent us frozen fish ended up at our table which was the last straw. Left the rest of the boat and the frozen fish untouched. Another note, the manager never once attempted to fix the situation nor did she approach us to resolve it. Very disappointed with the food at this place and the sushi itself did not taste very fresh. You know it's bad when my 13 yo and 8 yo know when it's bad sushi. Would not recommend going to this place.

I recently went to this location with a large party. I came in 2 weeks prior and made a reservation for this event. We arrived at 6:30 pm and waited for over 2 hours before the first half of our party was served. The party was a party of 20 people and we had two tables. However, 2hr wait for the first table to be served. It was another hour for them to come and finally serve us. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE, BUT WAS SENT TO THE OWNER. WHEN I TRIED TO SPEAK WITH HER ABOUT THE ISSUES AND SERVICE I WAS TOLD BY HER SHE WASN'T THE OWNER THEN I WAS TOLD THAT THE MANAGER WAS COOKING. NOT ONE TIME DID SOMEONE COME AND SPEAK TO ME ABOUT THE SERVICE. The cook we did get was awesome and so was our waitress but MANAGEMENT SUCKS. I will never go back to this place. I refuse to pay for horrible service.

I love the ambience of this restaurant. It's like stepping into a different country atmosphere. the time I went there was only one waitress available who gave excellent customer service. The food was hot and very tasty and the prices were very moderate. It was such a relaxing meal that I hated to leave the place and step back out into the real world.

Our daughter wanted to have her college graduation luncheon here on Saturday,December 9th. They are not open on Saturday's at this time. They opened just for us. We were the only ones in the restaurant. They didn't charge us a fee for being open. The waitress was awesome! I wish I could remember her name. We had excellent service. The food was great and we had such a nice lunch. Thanks Ichiban!

I love this place! It's my favorite restaurant on Earth. I have only gotten terrible service once. And that was only due to the waitress and not the food or the owners. I was actually shocked that I had bad service. All other times I've been here, which is quite often for a college student, I have had some of the best service I could ask for. The servers are knowledgeable and funny, (when you allow them to do so. They respect your table's solitude of not) the manager is kind, the food is great, and the portions are generous. I have tried almost every specialty sushi offering they have and am satisfied with all but one or two that just weren't my style. I plan on going back this weekend if I can.

When we were seated, our waitress took about 5 minutes to greet us. She told us that she was busy and it would be awhile before she'd be able to get back to us. We then asked about the all you can eat sushi and she told us, "I was hoping you wouldn't ask about that." We waited 10 minutes with no return from the waitress then left. I served for about 2 years (at Red Lobster & I managed to survive endless shrimp just fine) and would have never thought to disrespect a customer like that. If I did, there would've been disciplinary actions for sure.
