Jerkin Ya Soul Caribbean and Soul Food Restaurant LLC

Tried Jerkin Ya Soul for the first time today. The rice with pigeon peas is so flavorful and the spices are on point! Honestly the best rice I've had when it comes to soulfood.The oxtails however, could use more seasoning. They lacked flavor but they were tender and salted well.I would skip the cornbread in the future as it lacked flavor and was dry.The ocra was has flavor but I didn't care for it after having the rice. The rice was the star of the show.The gentleman working was kind and patient. There were two people ahead of me that were high maintenance customers and he handled them well and accommodated their requests. He also made sure all items were up to temp with a thermometer and kept a log which was given to the kitchen staff.The price for the full oxtail entree was $16/17 which is reasonable In my opinion. I would patronize this business again.

I’m not sure how this business stays open because they are always “out” of food. Last time I went, the man working the counter told me he didn’t have time to go to the grocery store and buy the stuff he needed to cook the food. I’ve tried 4 times to get the Ox tail soup and they are always out or need 45 minutes to cook it. Ive actually never ate their food and now I just don’t have the patience to deal with them anymore. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday

Very disappointed. The cabbage had no flavor and was dry, the macaroni tastes like mayonnaise, and the oxtails were tough with big chunk of onions in the gravy ?. Very unsatisfying!!

This had to have been the worst experience I've ever had with Carrebean Food. I ordered the oxtails with pigeon peas and rice. The cabbage was over cooked and watered down. 1-15-2021. The oxtails were not cooked completely and not seasoning. This was terrible.

The customer service at this place was beyond amazing!! The food also outstanding!! Seasoned to perfection and cooked with love. Highly recommended. Love love love!!!

I ordered this food for my daughter's surprise wedding in Valdosta last weekend and it was some of the best Ive eaten! From the meats Curry, Oxtails and J*** and fried chicken, there were no complaints! This place is the truth. I requested the traditional curry chicken and it was delicious too! If I lived in Valdosta this place would be my regular spot!

The food was satisfyingly good. Since I’m not familiar with the Jamaican cuisine of this restaurant I tried something simple and not so costly and it was delicious!

It was AMAZING!!! Our first time coming. It smells good, the place is really clean and the oxtails and pigeon peas are BOMB!!! we will return

They did the food for my daughter's wedding on a last minute notice and the food was DELICIOUS! The mac n chz, oxtails, curry chicken, rice and peas, the sweet potatoes, greens, cabbage, and combread all delicious! i highly recommend this restaurant for your catering! It was a complete hit once this delicious food hit the tables!

The curry chicken IS NOT curry Chicken it’s more like a honey chicken but it’s good I guess.Overall the food was good I came n 3mins before closing and they was so niceee. I would visit again looking forward to trying the oxtails
