I highly recommend the bbq fries that come stacked with pulled pork and bacon. I asked to swap the shredded cheese for the mac and cheese and they said “sure”! It was amazing. Way better than most park food I’ve had. Definitely would eat here again! Service seemed to be slow since they were understaffed but the food was fresh!

We were camping in the area and came across this diamond in the rough - The Lone Star BBQ & Mercantile. Not one to pass up BBQ we stopped to find the most surprisingly wonderful experience of our trip. Thanks to Michael and everyone there for the most genuine and abundant Southern Hospitality we have ever received. The food was off the charts great with the BBQ, southern fried chicken (with a kick) and sweet potatoes stealing the show. I later found out it's # 62 on the BBQ Trail Map - don't miss it. 😍
