Quick trip to Valdosta to visit friends. We stopped for lunch. Everything was excellent...shrimp, fish, deviled crab, clam strips and sides. Even the sweet tea was good! Kia was our server. She was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely come back when in the area.
I just ate here for the first time, and I'm already planning my next visit. The food was SO delicious and the portions were generous. Every single staff member was friendly and respectful. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!
I dined in and this place just wasn’t it for me. It was all that you could eat if you chose that option. However, the environment didn’t feel comfortable. They sat my husband and I by the bathroom & that just ruffled my feathers. It was also in direct view to the cash register like we just couldn’t enjoy dinner together. Every time you wanted an item for the all you could eat meal, the waitress seemed a little annoyed. I felt like she was a parent that had to look at your plate to make sure you ate everything before you could get something else. This is just not the environment that I am accustomed to. I found this restaurant from a food reviewer on line & I wrote to her as well to share my experience! Three stars is too much, but I would like to be respectful! To each other’s own!

We stopped on our travels home and hit a home run. The food and service was excellent. Thank you Jasmine. Definitely a do over.
The food all tasted the same, and the scallops were so overcooked they were the consistency of rubber. Service was good, staff friendly.

We're traveling to Florida and stopped overnight for rest. Found this place online and we were pleasantly surprised. Outstanding service! and our food was great! Grilled shrimp and fish was delish. Great value with senior menu. Plenty of sides to choose from. Simple, clean interior.

Waitress was nice but went to the bathroom and whole kitchen reeked of weed. Was sick from the food.

The atmosphere was great. The waitress we had was very rude and clumsy. She spilled drinks on the booth near us. The order of cat fish I ordered was not done & I was highly upset. The deviled crab was pretty on the outside and not done all the way through. I will never return again. Do not waste your time or money.

I have to tell you that the staff at Southern Shore Seafood are a bunch of really nice people! They make you feel like you're family, the kind you want to be around. It was very refreshing to actually have someone explain to you what's on the menu in detail. The food was ok but I cleaned my plate because I was hungry and it was late. I tried the alligator tail with the boom sauce and it was really delicious! My dinner entree was the Alabama catfish fingers with steak fries and macaroni and cheese. When it came out, I told the waiter I had only ordered one serving and I thought it was a mistake. The plate was overflowing with food! It was enough for two people! You'll surely get your money's worth! Plus they offer free refills on the soft drinks. I ended up taking a little over half back to my room.

Careful. The food is good, but if you go in with a large party, they tend to mess up the orders.

Took my fiancé there tonight, wasn’t particularly busy so there was no waiting to be seated. The wait came waiting on our food as other couples came after us and received their food before us, in fact one table even finished by the time our food came. If that had been the only issue it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but the shrimp was overcooked and cold. The fish had some brownish tint and was cold as well. They even left off the hush puppies. I realize every place can have an off night but I won’t be going back to find out if it’s rare or the rare for them.
Environment is good. Service is good. But don't order the fried shrimp. Other restaurants take tails of shrimp before they fried or they just fry from the tail down so you can clearly tell that the tail is still on. So almost chocked not seeing the tail. because the tail was still attached and fried.
Then the shrimp still has the digestive trail on it. I wanted to throw up when I saw that. It was not just one. It was several.
